Bab 139: The unbearable anguish

The night was long, dark, and freezing. Some were having fun in the pubs while others were working overtime. Some people were hurrying back home, where their families were waiting for them. The fortunate ones slept soundly in their warm, cozy beds with their loved ones.

Some people, however, were in pain and wandering aimlessly down the street. Anastasia was among them.

She did not return home after she finished her shift at the hospital. She wanted to spend some time alone where she used to go with her sister.

Anastasia approached a street food stand selling fries, hotdogs, tacos, and burritos. Her parents were very strict about what they ate, and they never let her eat oily, spicy street food.

Anastasia never disobeyed her parents and always did what they told her to do. She was never a fan of street food.
