Everyone in the family knew what happened back then. All of them hated Ohani for what she did. With the exception of her youngest son Kai. He's the only one that was happy when she left Tanaga for another man.

He hired an investigator to find out everything about the man and he was overjoyed to learn that it would be easy for him to accomplish his goal. The Producer is actually heavily in debt and has a gambling problem. This knowledge, Kai utilized to get Ohani to come back to Japan.
