At the edge of the gaping hole in the ceiling, the face of a mutant appeared. It was a boy, about six or seven, plump with rosy cheeks and peculiarly wide front teeth.

The alpha fired first, striking the boy-like figure's head, who rolled down the inner wall of the blimp, crying out.

The powerful kickback from the gunshot unexpectedly jolted Serge's shoulder.

It hurt so much. The force was tremendous. He gritted his teeth, steadying himself.

The monster's head dodged the first bullet and accelerated. Halfway through, it suddenly slowed down. The tear-streaked face began to giggle, displaying a dreamy, silly expression.

The alpha's second bullet followed swiftly, blowing it apart.
