Bab 135: Flirty Destiny

The force of the explosion sent shockwaves through the room, rattling the furniture and sending sparkly confetti flying in every direction. As the dust settled, Kiti, her heart racing, peeked out from under the couch to see the King of Hearts reduced to a scatter of cards, each fluttering to the floor like fallen leaves caught in a tempest.

"Woo!"

Fanfar stirred beneath her. She exclaimed, "Yeah, you're better," with joy. When she attempted to move, she found herself stuck. "Oops!"

Kiti lifted the couch with all her might and knocked it over.

She caught sight of Killian, who had overextended his luck. He was sitting against the wall with his legs spread. His foolish smile, despite his head bowed, revealed that his injuries were minor.

"Oh, the insane priest, or maybe we should call him the gambler," Kiti said, leaning in closer, her hands on her hips.
