Harvey and Ariel returned home he was vexed she was supposed to be back hours ago did time mean nothing to Spider?
Harvey stumbled in Ariel trying to hold I’m up, it was suposed to be one drink one turned into two then three six brandy’s later he was legless and unable to walk in a straight line, Spider sat laughing at his actions, Ariel scowled at him, how the hell were they supposed to get home now? Spider called for a car to take them directly home. It pulled up outside the house. ‘Thanks.’
‘Any time babe and I’m sorry I didn’t think he’d keep drinking.’
‘Well he did.’
‘I’ll see you tomorrow be in time.’
‘I will if Cole doesn’t ground me.’
‘What are you ten? Besides he can’t he’s not you olds he has no say in that part of your life.’
‘He can try.’
‘He can but he will fail trust me.’
They got out of the car. ‘Do you need any help getting him inside?’
‘No I’ll be fine you best go or Cole will have you stung up by your balls.’
He laughed as he took Harvey’s arm form around his shoulder at the door. ‘I’ll see you tomorrow babe.’
‘Yeah sure and thanks for the lift home.’
‘No probs babe it’s the least I can do for getting his ass drunk. I’ll get someone to drop off the car in the morning.’
‘Sure.’
‘Night babe.’
‘Night spider.’
He smiled walking away he got into the car watching her struggle to open the door and get Harvey inside, he shuck his head laughing to himself before he pulled away. Why didn’t she just accept his offer of help? He didn’t give a shit about how Cole would over react they needed to talk anyway.
Cole looked angrily at the pair as she kicked the door shut. ‘And where the fuck have you two been till now?’ He growled in frustration.
‘Pipe down Cole.’
‘Answer me damn it I’ve been waiting for hours for you to come home.’
‘I had to do over time thanks to you for making me two hours late then Harvey and spider got talking and drinking as you can see he can’t handle his liquor.’
‘How many dod spider give him?’
‘I don’t know I lost count after four.’
‘What were they talking about?’
‘General stuff.’
‘What Ariel?’

‘Sure. Let me help you get him up to his room.’
‘I’m fine.’
‘You’re clear;y not. Come on Ariel let me help you then you can go to bed. I’m sure you’re tired after all you’ve had a long day ants it’s almost four in the morning. And you need sleep before you start your shift with Spider I’m sure he won’t take it so easy on you next time you’re late.’
‘Fine. Anything for a peaceful life.’ She sighed.
‘That’s my girl.’
He grabbed Harveys’ arm throwing it over his shoulder. ‘Ready?’
‘Ready.’
They headed him up the stairs to his room laying him in his bed pulling the covers over him. ‘Come on we’re both tired let’s try snd get some sleep.’
She nodded too tired to answer. He walked her back to her room. He leaned forward pecking her in her cheek. ‘Night Ariel.’
‘Night Cole.’ She said not her room as he walked away. She closed the door walking over to her bed collapsing on it closing her eyes.
She squinted as the sun seeped through the curtains. And the rising of angry voices woke her from her slumber. ‘He said what?’
‘I’m sorry Cole he insists she stays with him while we go on our drug runs.’
‘Over my dead fucking body.’
‘He’s got a point Cole.’
‘Whose side are you on Jae?!
‘Yours but.’
‘No buts no way in hell is she staying with him.’
‘She’ll be safer there Cole. She’s slower than us she need]s to be safe we can’t always be there for her to watch her back.’
‘You can and you will. I’ll talk some sense into that egotistic ass hole when we take Ariel later.’
She tiptoed down the stairs. ‘Is that you Ariel?’
Shit. ‘Yeah.’
‘Come through I need to talk to you for sec.’
She wallowed hard. ‘Yeah sure.’
She slowly emterd the living space. He tapped the empty space next to him, she swallowed nervously walking over to him sitting down. He looked at her. I’ve been informed what Spider talked to you and Harvey about last night snd I want to knwo how you feel about it all before I talk to him.’
‘O-Kay.’ She said nervously.
‘What do you want tot do Ariel stay with spider or go with us?’
‘I prefer to stay safe Cole but if you want me to be there I will.’
He smiled.
‘Fine I’ll let you stay with spider until you have had your training and then and only then I will take you eith us is that okay?’
She nodded.
‘Words Ariel I don’t understand a simple nod it can mean anything.’
‘;yeas that will be fine if your okay with it then so am I.’
He smiled. Leaning forward. ‘I’m fine with it Ariel as long as you are I don’t want you to feel as if I’m pushing you out cause I’m not. Its just the opposite okay. You need to be storm and for that you need to be trained not just in athletics but in weaponry too so you can defend yourself from this who want to cause you harm. I need to know that you are safe always and we don’t need to keeps me eye on you so much, we’ll still have you’re back but you’ll have to thin for yours;Ed and act quickly are we under stood.’
‘Yeah.’
‘Good girl.‘ he smiled kissing her cheek.
Cole and the others accompanied Ariel down to the fight club as he needed to discuss a few things with Spider concerning his latest outburst.
‘Cole what a pleasure as always.’
‘We need to talk.’
‘Sure come into my office.’
He nodded lookign at Ariel and the others. ‘Watch her until we are done.’
They nodded waiting close to Ariel it was a quiet night here there were very few fights tonight but it was only three in the afternoon so nothing would technically kick off till eight pm.
An hour later after shouting and broken glasses Spider, Cole and Harvey returned. ‘Everything sorted Cole.’
‘It is come on Ariel and work to do and I’m sure Spider doesn’t want us hanging around on a none fight night.’
‘I’m sure he doesn’t.’
‘Til next week Spider.’
‘Yeah sure next week it is.’
He kissed Ariel on the cheek. ‘Harvey will be picking you up so make sure he doesn’t get his ass drunk again.’
‘I will.’
He smiled and they all walked away.’
‘Come Ariel we have a lot to do.’ He said angrily.
Shut what got his boxers in a twist geese.
She followed behind him she walked into the office he slammed the door caging her in. Shit he was pissed his eyes were dark and angry. ‘So..’ she began.
‘Who’s idea wha it Ariel yours or his?’
‘I told him I wanted to be safe.’
‘And this is him keeping you safe is it?’
‘I..I..’
‘I’ll be training you Ariel be glad it’s me and not one of the fighters here.’
She looked at him.
;I’m not happy with this Ariel not happy at all he’ll end up killing you.’
She looked nervously at him.
‘I’ll make sure it never comes to that. I promise you.’ He said oress9ng his lips on hers kissing her before moving away. ‘We have work to do.’
She nodded nervously.
‘I’ll never hurt you Ariel just remember that.’
