Bab 4: Chapter 4
Bucky's POV
I was sitting at Avengers Tower in the living room, Fury had called a meeting the moment we stepped foot in the building. Steve and Stark were arguing, I was in deep thought while the other Avengers were watching the argument.
'BARNES!' Fury snapped me out of my thoughts, I looked at him plainly.
'I had to call your name three times for you to look at me.'
'It must be his grandpa ears.' Stark smirked, I glared at him.
'The old woman.' I say, everybody turns their attention to me.
'What?'
'At the scene, there was an old woman approaching the assassin. She kept calling the assassin Emberly.'
'Stark, look at the footage and then let us all see it.'
'Found it.' The screen enlarged so we could all see it, the footage stopped half way and did a facial recognition scan on the elder.
'The woman's name is Naomi Blackman, she's ninety years old. She has been searching for someone called Emberly Atlas since 1940 because she suddenly disappeared after an invasion, she started her search when she was sixteen and still continues it.' Stark informs. 'But apparently she's rich and famous for her exploring and tales.'
'When the woman came running, the assassin started targeting her. So, she must be the target!'
'No shit, Sherlock.' Stark mutters.
'Search up Emberly Atlas.'
'Done.' Multiple photos came up of newspapers and black and white photos, but most of them were articles about her disappearing. I stand up and so does Steve.
'We have to go get Naomi Blackman and protect her.' Steve says.
'About that Capsicle, you have no clue where she lives and you despise modern things. And Raven here is also looking for her but has been looking for her longer.' I look at the floor, Fury eyes me suspiciously.
'Is there something you're not telling us Barnes?'
'I - uh - well –'
'Spill it.'
'The assassin has a metal arm.'
'Like you?'
'Yeah, but on her right arm.'
'So? What's so bad about that?'
'It only means more danger for everyone.' Steve says, 'Bucky and I will protect Naomi.' Fury nods and hands us cameras, we clip them to our suits.
'We'll be watching.'
