Bab 478: Their Birth

The castle was in a disarray. Inside her bedroom, Maimuna panted and heaved exhaustion lacing every inch of her body. She was in labor. 

Standing close by was her beloved, his face stoic and eyes blank. However, his trembling fingers and shaky frame could be seen if observed properly. 

He was panicking. The more he stared at his wife, the heavier his heart got with worry. She had been this way for hours now. 

Ten hours to be exact. The twins were proving to be problematic before they came into the world. He wished he could help. 

Alas, this was something his woman had to do on her own. Her body was drenched in sweat and the pillow she lay on was wet from her silent tears. 

Maimuna refused to scream out her pain. She chose to grit her teeth and bear it for her beloved and their children.

This situation was proving to be a repeat of her birth. Except in her current state, both twins were still in her womb.
