Helplessness was a feeling Arif didn't like. Sadly, it had become part and parcel of his life for a while now.

 He didn't necessarily hate it because it was always associated with his most treasured person.

 Rather, he disliked how he would turn out to be completely useless despite holding an entire realm in his hand.

Lily had been in the room with Muntaha and a physician for a while now. She had gone into labour a few hours after contacting her cousins. 

Although he is grateful to have her around, he also felt guilty. This was never her war to fight. Somehow, it had become hers. Courtesy of him.
