When Ezra heard it, he was first taken aback. The joy on his face rapidly disappeared like the retreating tide, as a deathly pale expression took its place.

Not long after, a lanky middle-aged man with messed up hair burst into his quarter. The man looked at Ezra from toe to hair, his gaze was filled with hatred.
