Bab 61: Filial piety

'So fate, please, hear my cry. Don't let them meet in the future.'  Ah Yue Fan prayed in his heart.

Xu Ying smiled in return and turned to Su Yue who was already on her horse and said: "Ok, have a safe ride… ehm, I prepared a few pastries and I hope you like them. They were specially made by me." She lowered her head as she smiled shyly.

A guard stretched out a medium box wrapped in a pink cloth, towards Su Yue.

Su Yue glanced at the box and shifted her gaze to Xu Ying. After a while of looking at the shy girl, for some reason, she didn't want her to feel embarrassed by rejecting it, so she accepted the gift and nodded at Xu Ying before she tapped her horse and started moving towards the direction of the east road.

Ah Yue Fan was startled when she accepted the gift box. His Master had never accepted anyone's gifts before, especially ladies, so why did she accept Xu Ying's? Ah Yue Fan narrowed his eyes on Xu Ying for a brief moment before he beamed and hit his horse, "hyaaah!"
