Sarell was rather surprised at how distant and tense Velia became after they both got in the carriage, it made him want to prod about what was really going on but he had already been promised answers when they got to the Southern Castle so he held back.

He couldn't help but be self-conscious when they had an audience but when it was just the two of them, the walls they had slowly brought down together on candlelit nights filled with each other's breathing and soft touches yielded fruit because he was freer around the Crown Prince now.

Sarell's curiosity about Velia's odd behavior didn't stop him from worrying about Reqiel. It was apt that he wasn't sent along with Reqiel again, considering that he had been completely useless the last time they went to Earth together… but Reqiel couldn't remember it.
