“Do you care about your father’s political career or your family’s social standing that much? I honestly never thought that you wanted to become the next queen,” I said before I cocked my head slightly to the side and stared down at her face.

Regina smiled a bittersweet smile that further confused me. It looked like she was happy but then it looked like she was about to burst out crying at the same time. It was a very strange look that I had never seen on her face before, and it disturbed me.

“I don’t…care about any of that. I just…want to be with you, Leo…” Regina said as her voice shook with emotions.
