Pain had rattled and settled along Darius's entire body. When he woke up that morning, he was still shrouded with the powerful scent of his Alpha mate. Darius blinked his eyes as he opened them, not realizing how thick the blanket was, enough to block out the sun coming from the open French window. Upon thinking about it, he wondered if some wolves had heard him last night.

A strong blush drew along Darius's face as he remembered the events that followed their private wedding in the ensuite sunken bath of Nicholai's room.
