Bab 91: Heartache And Discovery

Damien's POV:

Backstory

After taking Lyra by the hand, I led her to her room. The only thing going through my mind was pain and intense grief. It was as if I had lost my mate all over again.

This feeling was heartbreaking and gut-wrenching. I tried to calm myself. I didn't want Lyra to know else she would scold me and tell me that she had warned me.

Arriving at the door of Lyra's room, she persuaded me to enter and even though I pretended not to want to enter, I still entered. It would be better to find something to take my mind off this feeling.

As I entered, I found a chair in the corner of the room and sat down as I tried to control my heart rate before Lyra picked up anything unusual.

"You didn't stay for the dance?" she asked as she sat down on the bed.

"No, I did not. I came to bring you back to your room" I said making sure not to bring the other incident up.
