 He looked at Aegis's guards, "What?"

"What do you mean? Take his place?" Kaid yelled.

They began to murmur among themselves.

He raised his right hand, "Be quiet."

There was silence.

"Okay, let me rephrase it. Is anyone going to take his place?"

 They exchanged glances, gawking in disbelief. Of course, none of them wanted to take his place.

 "No one? None of you? Then watch him die," he laughed loudly, "This is going better than I thought!"

 "I wonder why I did not come here earlier," he chuckled, and faced Aegis.

 "None of them loves you at all, so sorry for you."

 Aegis eye's met with Faunana's, but Faunana quickly looked away. He wasn't ready for any sacrifice of a sort.

 'They actually hate me?' He blinked several times.
