"No, not yet. I'm still in the bar," came the reply from the other end, Narin's brow furrowing in suspicion as he detected the man's heavy breaths. "Is everything alright? Do you need anything?"

"No, no. I just— I think I just saw some big spiders. Don't come home just yet, okay? I will make sure to chase them out of the house," Martin managed to say after pulling down his mask, feeling slightly relieved when he thought as he had concocted a seemingly plausible excuse.

"O-okay... please be careful."

"Alright, see you later."

"S-See you..."

Martin couldn't think of anything else as he continued to navigate the labyrinthine streets, trying to outpace the ominous presence that seemed to have raced with him.
