Bab 47: Chapter 47: Unrequited

The Delta Captain nodded wordlessly. He turned and walked away. There was no way he would face the Alpha’s wrath.

The team captain inspected every one of his team members. Two were sleep deprived and were sent to rest as soon as they were discovered. Three had moderate injuries that could be sorted out within the next two days.

The team grumbled about the inspection. The look from the Delta captain shut them all up.

“Anyone who goes on the field in less than a mint condition in a war situation is offering their teammates up for slaughter. One mistake and the enemy cuts through our ranks,” the team captain instructed.

“The last time this was not adhered to, the Alpha almost lost his life defending the team members. Do you want to be the guy the Alpha has to rescue when he ordered you to sleep to be ready for battle?”
