"You're dismissed Theta. And next time you burst into my office like this you will find yourself imprisoned then feet below the ground and not even your Temple will be able to save you then.

Zina's eyes flared open, defiance sewn in them. She didn't move, nor did she look like she took his threat seriously. Daemon's eyes lifted from the Map Table which he had been studying halfheartedly while he finally let his amused eyes roam over her. 

Her little fists were balled at her sides, her skin was downright flushed, and some strands of her hair had escaped the tie so they stuck against her face. Her eyes though, one of the most beautiful things Daemon had ever seen was filled with all the emotions in the world.

Daemon, against his wishes, remembered the last two nights and how they had begun and ended.
