There you saw a who's who of celebrities and personalities from all over but the sight of Damien Holland, the head agent and CEO of the biggest talent agency in the states made your stomach turn knots, but Kaitlyn gripped your arms and gave you a calming smile as you went and said hello. Damien asked if you had thought about things and you told him you haven't talked with involved parties yet. He smirked that winning grin and said take the time and he would be waiting for the call. Some other awards flew by and nothing came of it but everyone was having a good time and as Sarah had excellent transition humor the next big award was best supporting actress and you could see Lea was really struggling. It was tough to see her when a different name was read but Kate laid a hand on hers and assured her she would be fine. Zazie's category was up for best actress in a tv series and when she won the entire table blew up for her just as loud as her own and her speech was beautiful and poignant and you felt elation for her. Soon it was best actress in a film and Amy presented the award to Kate, which was met with howling applause. Kate's speech was Beautiful and strong and s condemnation on things that had come before and as Alex smirked at you and held up two fingers, for the two wins, he would have to throw two more up, as Robert won for best actor which was a genuine surprise considering the stronger candidates he was up against, and then the biggest shock of all, best picture for a drama. Standing on the stage behind everyone and watching the sheer shock and joy and elation that came from it was something you could get used to and Alex gave you the same look as he was ecstatic. You hugged everyone and went to the back where Sarah and Kaitlyn and Selena were all waiting for you, giving them a hug and a kiss as they said how happy they were for you. You waited for Kate to get through her interviews and snapshots and she smiled and gave you a warm hug and you thanked her for everything, for always bringing such grace and using her talents under the agency's banner. She smirked and said you still had to talk with her about things and you said you hadn't forgotten. You eventually found Alex and he gave you a hug and a smile as he said this was the best day of his life , at least until the Oscars. You told him you needed to talk and he nodded and followed you as you found a place clear of most people. He hands you a cigar and you light them up as you take a few drags before he asks what was going on. You took a big breath and said ratherly bluntly as you had been holding onto this for a while. That Damien Holland had approached you about selling the agency to CAA and becoming partners with the biggest agency in the world. The shock on Alex's face said it all. You took a drag and let the moment sink in as you fought for the words that were to come next.
