Bab 40: EP 38 - SHAKY FAITH.
Percival still felt stunned at hearing about Michelle's death. It was all too sudden .
He remembered when he last heard about her sickness. He had prayed for many days about it, seeking intervention from his God.
Percival had enquired after her from Ulrich Honofoi and he had assured him that She was alive.
That damned Liar.
He knew about her death and yet he kept it from him. All those years , how could he still keep a poker face , after concealing that huge secret from him!!!
But who he was questioning the most ...
Was God.
He prayed faithfully and endlessly but where was he when Michelle was dying?
Where was He when all his Paladin brothers where slaughtered though he prayed fervently.
Was it all a lie?
Was it just some kind of stories made up of a supernatural being that the King made up in order to keep everyone under his control?
Percival faith was now on shaky grounds .
He didn't know what to believe anymore.
At that moment all Percival felt...
Was betrayal.
He saw Avyanna far off waiting for him . She was shouting something at him but he didn't hear.her voice,as he walked closer to her, her voice became audible but he couldn't comprehend what she was saying because he was lost in his own thoughts.
Sensing what mood he was in , Avyanna did not bother talking anymore. In silence the two walked towards the direction of the palace.

Levi studied the ground. Trails of blood were left behind by the Dragon , falling to the ground as it flew in the sky. Conrad came up behind his ear and asked" What do you think?"
Levi turned to face him. "Firstly , I think that you shouldn't whisper behind my ears."He scorned and then looked away ."It went in that direction " He said finally.
Conrad hissed silently. "What a douche!" He cursed under his breath.
Levi took hold of Conrad trousers and pulled him towards himself. "Do you have anything to say to me?" He brought his face closer to Conrad's.
Conrad shook his head in the negative as he felt a ting of fear.
"Then I advise you to keep you thoughts to yourself and shut it!" Levi growled and let him go.
"Wait how come you and Obi are friends but are always at each other throats in the game?" Sky asked , inquisitive .
"Irony of Life." John beamed and Sky blushed.
Eva and Obi rolled their eyes while Su ling looked on with interest.
Kyra left the boys squabbling and followed the trail of blood to where it finally disappeared. Beyond her was a dark Cave ,Levi and Conrad soon came up behind her.
"I don't see any Dragon here.. So lets go home and Forget we ever came to this crazy place." Conrad began moving away.
Levi dragged the back of his Shirt and hissed. "You wish....."
They moved into the Cave with Kyra by his side and cynically he added ;
"The only way out is in.
Conrad folded his arms like a child as Levi continued pulling him with one arm into the Cave.
"If I should say I don't hate this guy, Know I'm lying to myself ." He muttered to himself.

Avyanna and Percival finally reached the Palace and burst through the doors leading to the throne room where the King was , deliberating on affairs of the Kingdom with his Advisers.
"What the hell have you gotten us into?" She shouted as she stood directly infront of him with Percival standing quietly at her side
All conversation seized and the officials spun around to see the woman who had the effrontry to barge in on their discussion.
"Why you!!! Listen here you uncultured woman ..." Balewich , the sour faced advisor said coming down to her.
"Quiet , Balewich! They are helping us!" Ulrich cautioned.
"Why!" He countered." She just an insignificant woman that dares talk when men speak!"
Avyanna held his throat violently and began to throttle him. "I'm also the woman that will choke you to death, if you don't shut your trap." She smiled sarcastically at him.
She let go of his throat and tossed him aside as he tried to gain his breath.
"Everyone..." Percival whispered as he clenched his fist."Everyone ... John, Elliot, Lance, Armstrong, Illus ...Alexis...They are all dead. ". The thoughts of their gruesome deaths replayed in his memory over and over.
"You sent them to their deaths!!!!!" Percival pointed at Ulrich , accusing him.
Ulrich Honofoi sighed. He knew he'd had to deal with this sooner or later.
"Percival " He tried to calm him down."I can explain..."
"I don't want to hear it!!!!!!" He bellowed.
Avyanna was looking at him . She seeing a new side to this priest.
"He's not a priest. He's a Paladin." Sky corrected.
"Potato, Potatoe.It's the same to me." Eva said
Avyanna saw Percival in another whole new light and this struck something in her .So he wasn't that 'Holier than thou ' after all. And Avyanna found herself thinking , "Was Percival growing hotter by the second or what?"
"We are going to slay the Dragon." Percival said calmly "But after that I'm leaving." Ulrich wanted to try and dissuade him but decided not to bother but instead said "I respect your decision ."
Percival nodded to Avyanna and they walked out together.
"Lets go and join the others."

Avyanna came up to the place that they had agreed they would meet.
They waited for a while when the other three suddenly returned ."So..." Avyanna asked. "Did you find it?!"
"We found it all right." Kyra replied
"But you're not gonna like it." Conrad added.
