Bonus chapter for 100 powerstones
"So, what is the real reason you are just staying here and not going to the complete heaven?" Wu Yun asked while we stepped into the mansion, greeted by all of the maids there. She looked at me, wanting to know the real reason.
"I'm mentally not ready. I will spend some time here playing the role of a righteous village head for a few years. Once that's done, I would play the role of a great villain. Along the way, I would temper my mind, and understand everyone I came across to a greater level." I said softly, stunning Wu Yun who burst out laughing.
"I see... indeed. I guess to bring out the full potential of Limitless is to experience and understand an infinite number of points of view. I'm guessing you want to transform Limitless into an ability instead of a technique." She asked to which I nodded lightly.
"I want it to grow to a level where it doesn't matter how weak I am, or how powerful I am. No matter how powerful the target is, they shall never be able to reach me." I said lightly, to which Wu Yun thought for some time.
To turn a technique into an ability was something that needed that technique to pretty much become one with your being. From mindset, and so on. It has to be installed into every part of your being. For me to turn Limitless into an ability, I needed to expand my mind and experiences to infinity and beyond.
"This better not be boring... What type of good do you plan to do?" Wu Yun asked with a smile, her eyes brightening at the challenge. At the end of the day, she was a member of the fairy clan, and guiding others was something like a hobby for her.
"Extreme righteousness, so much good that it's demonic... in other words, a Buddhist," I said with a grin, to which Wu Yun looked at me, not understanding what I meant by a Buddhist being demonic... but on second thought, there was some Buddhist art that pretty much brainwash others. Was that not demonic? To act righteous, when going around brainwashing people in the opening?
"But not like a Buddhist... you would see," I said while going to sit within the mansion, and lowering my strength and capabilities to allow me to at most be at level 7 Houtian. So, I went on to start passing new and fair laws, laws which wouldn't make the rich richer, but laws that would help the poor have a chance to be rich if they put in the work and had some luck.
Those big shots within the village would not be happy, so I had to get ready for them to come here, wanting to fight against this new law which would not be fair to them.
"... what?" I asked while writing, not bothering to look up at Xaio Lingxi who was currently standing before me with a displeased look.
"You're leaving the heavens?" She asked, with how much importance the heavens put on me, would it be happy hearing I would leave it for someone better?
"You do understand this incomplete heaven can't hold me right? If I remain here for too long, this heaven would grow too powerful for its own good and die? You're adapting to me, but in doing so, you will kill yourself." I asked causing Xiao Lingxi to be stunned, not expecting this.
"I thought you would ignore me and instead return to Yun Che, what is it? Are you the heavens, or Xiao Lingxi?" I asked calmly, to which Xiao Lingxi frowned for a good amount of time, before speaking.
"I don't know anymore..." She said lightly with a downcast look.
"Is Xiao Lingxi dying? Are you losing who you are? your wishes and desires, are you going to let the heavens get in the way of such things?" I asked while putting the pen down, and looked her straight into the eyes. Xiao Lingxi was stunned and didn't know what to say. I walked over to her and got on one knee as I was taller than her.
"You're a bright and talented woman, you can do anything you put your mind to, all you have to do is believe in yourself and never give up. If you need help, I'm always here to help you... remember, You're Xiao Lingxi, the trash who is standing on a stage rivaling the likes of Yun Che and Xia Qingyue." I said with a smile, leaving Xiao Lingxi frozen, unable to move for some time at my words.
"The heavens are great, but is Xiao Lingxi any less? Don't look down upon yourself, stand tall, for you are strong. If you can gain my respect and the heavens haven't... why are you giving up?" I said with a motivating smile, which hit Xiao Lingxi hard. Indeed, the heavens had been beating her down since in the back of her mind she was unable the believe that the heavens were beatable... but why was she giving up before the battle even started? Thats even more so when I believed she could.
"Thats the Xiao Lingxi I know," I said with a smile, seeing the flame in Xiao Lingxi which was slowly dying out coming back with greater power. This flame was simply who Xiao Lingxi was, the heavens were slowly swallowing her, transforming her into something else. Yes, she would keep her determination to become the best and the strongest, but she wouldn't be Xiao Lingxi anymore.
"Thank you... I needed to hear that." Xiao Lingxi said gratefully,
"You would have found a way, you're that type of girl," I said to which Xiao Lingxi blushed lightly,
"You have so much confidence in me?" She asked softly, for as long as she knew, only one person had so much confidence in her. That was me, I of course trusted her as I saw the hard work she put in. I never cared for her bad talent, if I could do it, she could do it, she just had to work hard, and she had the mindset to put in that hard work.
"Of course, I don't fall in love with just anyone," I said while standing up, Xiao Lingxi just stood there, stunned I would say something like that. In the past, a turn-off for me was the fact she had lost her drive after waking up as the reincarnation of the ancestral god... yet now, I didn't simply help point her in the right path, I was still in love with her.
"You changed..." She said softly, to which I blushed in embarrassment. In the past, I was truly childish, luckily, those childish acts only lasted a few years and not hundreds.
"Everyone has their flaws, no one is perfect. Who am I to search for someone perfect when I am not perfect? Is one single flaw worth overlooking everything else that makes you amazing? Who am I, an imperfect thing, I'm unworthy of judging others for not being perfect." I said with a smile, leaving her stunned and slightly horrified... this was scaring her. Me being down to earth? It left her not knowing what to say, feeling as if the end of the world was around the corner...
By the way, the end of the world had been stopped long ago. With the growth the heavens had been growing through, it would not be returning to nothingness any time soon.
"You're scaring me." She said softly, leaving me confused. What did I do? But the new open me didn't overlook this matter and took a chance to understand where she was coming from with this fear... plus, I was extremely righteous at the moment.
"My apologies, I didn't mean to come off as scary or something like that. Is there a miscommunication here?" I asked which only scared Xiao Lingxi even more, the more normal I was, the more scared she was getting. But her fear disappeared for a moment as Wu Yun suddenly began laughing, which caused Xiao Lingxi to look over in confusion.
"You should have seen experts who have played the role of extreme righteousness or evil to gain experience right?" Wu Yun asked with a smile, stunning Xiao Lingxi who looked at me in realization.
"... oh," Xiao Lingxi said before she looked at me with a weird look, this was something she wanted to see play out. So she decided to stay here and watch this interesting show.
"You can stay here as long as you want, I can understand how badly you missed seeing your eye candy," I said with a wink, making Xiao Lingxi pause in horror as she realized something. Her face turned bright red in shame and embarrassment before she quickly disappeared.
"How did you know?" Wu Yun asked, confused as I knew something she didn't know. When we first lost our first time... well, let's say the heavens might have been watching the show.
"It was a random guess..." I said speechlessly, causing Wu Yun to also go speechless. We both looked at each other, not knowing how to react to this... Xiao Lingxi was a pervert? Or was it the heavens...
"Village head, these new laws will not do!" A fat man said while sitting before a large round table, which had the major heads of the village at this moment. I stood at the head of this table, looking at all of them calmly. This fat man was Fag Mang, this was the clan head of the Fag clan.
"I agree, surely you must understand the impact this will have." A skinny old man said with a deep frown while glaring at me without a hint of respect. This is Skinglong Meng, the clan head of the Skinglong clan.
"You're the new village head, but that doesn't give you the right to come here with this nonsense. We 3 clans came together to build this village hundreds of years ago, and you are destroying our hard work." A sagely-looking man said calmly. This was Sagekong Ming, the clan head of the Sagekong clan...
"I understand where you are all coming from, you all want benefits, I can understand that," I said lightly while looking at them.
"But let me ask you all, what is a clan head without clan members? What is a king without a citizen? what is a god without believers?" I asked leaving them all frowning at my words, but their frown grew as I began giving off a strange aura. The aura was unique, this was the aura of forgiveness, love, and righteousness.
"I will treat you all the same way I want to be treated, with respect, love, and support. Fag Mang, you have raped, killed, and done so much wrong... but although you did all this with a smile, can you look me in the eyes right now and say you had truly enjoyed it? You who had a mother you loved deeply, you had had a sister you once loved, you who had deep bonds, and felt the pain of loss and betrayal... are you proud knowing how you make others feel?" I asked making Fag Mang slowly start crying, the impact of his actions which he thought didn't bother him slowly coming in, hitting him hard.
He removed his tears, shocked that he was actually crying. He looked up and was horrified to see me standing before him. He was about to get ready to fight, but I pulled him into a hug, a hug so warm he felt like his long-dead, cold, and ruthless father was hugging him.
"No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. It's okay to make mistakes, how would we learn and improve if we make zero mistakes? My child, you are loved, and you are heard." I said causing Fag Mang to madly try to hold back the tears, just to burst out crying
"I only did it because I saw my cousin do it, I wanted to fit in." He cried, to which I nodded lightly while patting his back.
"I know, I know... I understand the need to fit in, but is it worth it when you can't fit in within your own heart?" I asked, stunning Fag Mang to freeze for a moment before he just cried even more.
"That's so deep... I'm sorry." He cried...
And so that day, Grand Star Village went through a great transformation. Fair laws were passed, and the 3 grand clans were 100% supportive of the new law and even went out of their way to make up for their wrongdoing.
The Sagekong clan which was secretly kidnapping children and brainwashing them to be death soldiers began to try and undo their hard work and even return the kidnapped children home. They stepped forward and fully apologized for their actions, which enraged the citizens, but they were calmed down by the village head who taught them to forgive,
Skinglong clan stepped out, apologizing to everyone as they had been secretly refining the dead bodies of others to cultivate... well, the higher-ups were. This enraged everyone, but as they had learned to forgive, they forgave them as well.
the Fag clan also came out, but their bad doing wasn't much compared to the other 2 clans, even still, it was enough to destroy their names... even so, the village was more united than ever, as everyone worked together for the betterment of the village.
"... this is too much." Xiao Lingxi said with a frown while looking at the scene that just happened. This all happened within a day, what I did to get all of this to happen wasn't by force, or even by using a technique. I just became extremely righteous, kind, and forgiving to the point such an aura was born which gave birth to a mind control-like effect.
No matter how evil one was, down to their deepest part, there was a part of them that knew what they were doing was wrong, My aura just gave that part of them the power to speak up and help them realize the effect of their actions, my words only increased this effect.
I wasn't forcing anyone to see the world from my point of view or something like that, I was just letting them see the world from a point of view that they have ignored. As for why Xiao Lingxi was frowning... this was too righteous, that it was demonic.
I was pretty much mind-controlling others, but I wasn't, giving no one the right to say anything. I wasn't forcing anyone, but I was using extreme kindness, and righteousness to do wrong righteously... as for what that meant, well, I was fighting with kindness.
A/N: MC child is on the way, it's going to be a boy. I need male names, and whoever could guess who would give birth to this child is... well, you are smart. But I will give you more possible answers. Is it...
A: Empress Laun Xing, the most beautiful woman there is, but she isn't even in the same heaven as MC. She might even be dead right now, so, unlikely.
B: Wu Yun, it would make sense since she and Wu Xian have a deep bond and she would stay by his side pretty much all of the time.
C: Xia Qingyue, although she wants to remain single for life, it would be a lie to say she isn't moved to see the changes Wu Xian went through and is starting to see him as more of a husband material. Would she make that first move, which could end up in a heated night?
D: Helian Xun, she just took a loss at Wu Xian's hands, so she would have to follow him in his journey to hold the burden of the strongest woman... so she has to be by MC's side. Will something happen?
E: Wu Xian, who is worthy of holding MC's child, but himself? Somehow, he would give birth to his own child...
The answer will be revealed in the next chapter. The next chapter will be out on Monday, so next time on dragon... cough, I mean this story, the reveal of who is holding Wu Xian Jr...
