The King and Ben were in the middle of a conservation with Lord Mongke.

"I see. That boy will not survive after all huh? Not even with your skill?" Lord Mongke asked.

"Unfortunately no. A lot of time, the most important element to save a patient's life is the patient's will to stay alive. That boy, however, has lost all the lights in his eyes, even if I forcibly preserved his life, it would be meaningless, he will only end up like a living corpse." said Ben.
