The beam saber followed closely with a stab, but Sweeney immediately became invisible. The mech could not disappear immediately, but it could cause visual confusion. It was an instinctive reaction to pause upon losing the target. Zhang Shan's sword still swung out, but upon hearing the sound, he knew that Sweeney blocked it. With the sound of the mech moving, Sweeney disappeared.
