-W...what do you mean?
I was stunned! How doesn't he knows what Teen Wolf is? He is the one that wanted to come here. If it weren't for him knowing the story and making us safe from all the danger, I wouldn't have approved of this place!
-Well, I don't remember anything about Teen Wolf as if my memories were wiped out. I remember you wished for us to be reincarnated in a particular place at a specific point in time. Maybe we should have asked to keep our memories too if possible.
I try recalling anything about Teen Wolf that I know, but nothing comes up in my mind! Even my thin knowledge is gone! Isn't every person given a second chance like us supposed to keep their memories?
I sighed
-I guess it's our fault for not asking for details from this old guy.
-Does it really matters?
I turn toward him and notice that he extended his hand above him as if he wanted to grab something in the air.
-Huh? If we don't know the place, how can we be safe?
I see him smile while closing his fist.
-I loved this world so much that I wanted to live inside it. So what's better than to discover it again?
-How can you be so carefree?
-Why are you so stiff? Were you always afraid and worried about everything when you were in our world?
"He's right. I have to calm down. It shouldn't be that dangerous of a place if I first accepted to come here, and we still have powers!" At this thought, I leave my bed and stand in the middle of the room.
-What are you doing?
I glance at Raphael and see that he is now sitting on his bed.
-I want to try something.
He nods, and I think he has the same idea cause he starts looking at his hands like he is trying to see through them.
The full moon is tainting the room with its dim light. I look at my shadow and concentrate on trying to feel something like a connection to make it move.
Since my power is darkness and shadows, I should be able to manipulate them. I have read a lot of stories about shadow users. They could control their shade and materialize it like a spike or tentacle. And later, they can even use them as weapons, armor, pocket dimension, and even sink in them to hide or teleport.
Sadly, it doesn't budge a bit. I could feel something inside me that I had never felt in my previous life. I just couldn't seem to be able to use it to move my shadow.
I hear a gasp behind me. Turning around, I see my brother's wide eyes looking at his shining hand. Even his eyes had a ring of yellow light in his iris.
The light his hands were emitting was bright enough to light up his face. He was smiling when he looked at me. He must have guessed that I wanted to know how he did it cause I can see that particular glitter in his eyes just before he says something that usually ends up with me being pissed off... and I was right.
-You know, if you want me to tell you how I did it, you can just ask. You only have to say: Big bro, please enlight me with your, ohh greater intelligence.
I feel my eyes twitch. I turn my back to him and hear giggles behind me. "I have to concentrate now. There's no way I won't be able to do something he can do. Maybe trying to run before learning how to walk wasn't the thing to do. Think Oli... Alexander... I'll have to get used to it, but I digress."
"First, I have to do like the other idiot. He didn't directly try to influence the light around him but first emitted it from his body. So logically, I should try to control that thing I felt when I tried to control my shadow."
I sit in my bed, close my eyes and concentrate on the new feeling in me. Once I grasped it, I could finally "see" what it was. It was like a pool, nearly as big as a competitive one. But inside that pool, instead of water, there was a thick black fog. I kneel beside it and dip my finger inside.
I feel a jolt run from my hand to the rest of my body. I opened my eyes and thought for a second that Raphael had lightened up all of the room, but I saw him lying on his bed, asleep.
"Is it already morning? No, the clock shows only three o'clock. So it means... I have night vision! And it's not the only power I unlocked."
Without knowing how, I knew what I could do with my power. And I knew that if I were to enter more in that pool, my young body wouldn't be able to bear it. Just dipping my hands inside made my whole body arch.
All I can do, for now, is see in the dark and leak some black fog from my body. But as I grow older and more robust, I'm sure I'll be able to sink deeper into the pool of my power.
I look at my hands and start using the little power I have. The dark fog spread around my hand in a thin mist. I try to control it by covering my hand and shaping it like claws. It took a while, and when I was done, I felt tired.
My little creation was blacker than black, and after turning off my night vision, I could see the silhouette of my claws in the shadow.
I didn't have the stamina to keep it active, so it disappeared. I lay down on my bed, completely exhausted, and closed my eyes.
"I'll have to train hard if I want to be able to do more if only this makes me so exhausted."
With that last thought, I fell asleep.
-----
-Wake up, Alex!
A high-pitched voice woke me up. I half-open my eyes and see Allison beside my bed, pouting at me.
Naturally, my response is to close my eyes and turn in my bed, giving her my back.
-Don't...
She climbs into my bed.
-Ignore...
She jumps above me.
-ME!
She lands on my side, elbow first.
-Arrghhh! Why did you do that? And what are you doing here?
She now stands in the middle of the room, her tiny fists on her hips with a smug smile.
-My family and I came here for your birthday, and when we arrived, you were still sleeping! It's ten o'clock! So Raph sent me to wake you up. He was scared you would hit him and said you wouldn't hit a cute girl like me.
Her smile only grew wider, and she tilted her face up, her ego probably boosted by the words of my twin.
-For your information, my dear Allison, I am a defender of true gender equality! So my morals don't stop me from taking revenge.
At those words, I jump out of bed and rush toward her. She screams and giggles while running out of the room.
I get dressed in a simple black t-shirt and shorts before heading downstairs. Everyone was in the living room. My dad, brother, and the Argent were all sitting on both couches.
-Look who's finally up! Happy birthday my lie-in boy.
My dad gets up and hugs me, ruffling my hair.
-Thanks, dad!
The Argent all wished me happy birthday, and Victoria even pinched my cheeks, saying we were growing too fast.
While looking at them, I couldn't see them as strangers, even if, officially, it was the first time I spoke to them. It was probably because I've kept the emotion of my younger self after I took over last night.
So for me, they were like my uncle, aunt, and cousin. A serious and cool uncle, a strict and slightly scary aunty, and a cute vibrant cousin.
Chris is working at his security consulting firm, Argent Arms International, and is a federally-licensed firearms dealership. My dad works with him since he is a weapon manufacturer, and that's how they met each other. Victoria works as a buyer in a clothes boutique and sometimes as a substitute teacher.
While the adults talked in the living room, we, the younger ones, went to our room to play video games. After a while, Allison turned off the console and lay on the bed, letting out a long and dramatic sigh.
I make eye contact with Raph, and he raises his shoulder, understanding what I ask him to do. Then he goes to sit next to her on the bed.
-What's happening, Ali? Are you that sad that you can't beat us?
We were playing Mario Party 64, so it would be normal for her to be mad or sad after losing as much as she did, but it's not like her to react like that.
-hmpf! I'm sure I could beat you if I really try! I'm going easy because it's your birthday.
-So all the other times you were going easy too?
Her face reddens.
-O... of course!
I come near the bed and flick his forehead.
-Stop teasing her that much, idiot. Tell us what's the matter, Lis.
-Dad said that we were going to move...
-What?!
-Why?!
Raphael and I both scream at the same time.
-He said it was for work and that aunt Kate would stay at beacon hills to take care of the company while we left...
"She has an aunt?" I try to recall if she appears in my memory, but it seems that she was never mentioned before. Apparently, I wasn't the only one.
-You never told us you had an aunt!
-Well... my father said that she and your dad are not on good terms and to not talk about her when I'm visiting you.
-Her name kind of rings a bell in my head. Like I already heard about her somewhere.
-Maybe you heard your dad talked about her once, Raph.
I give him a glance from the corner of my eyes. I know for sure that dad never spoke about her, and there isn't any Kate, Katerine, Katie, or any name like that among the people we know. "Perhaps she is related to T..."
-Anyways, when will you leave Ali?
-At the end of the month. We won't see each other that much...
She sniffed, and Raph patted her hair.
-Don't worry, Ali. We will always be friends! And it's not like it's the last time we see each other, right Alex?
He glares at me. I silently sigh. I'm not good with emotional stuff and cheering up others. "What a drag... But it's Allison, so I'll make some efforts."
-Yes, you won't be able to get rid of us that easily Lis.
Allison's eyes became teary, and she jumped, pulling us in a suffocating hug. Sniffing, she frees us and sticks out her pinky finger.
-Pinky promise! We will swear never to abandon each other and always to be friends.
Without even a second of hesitation, Raph took her finger with his pinky finger. The slight hesitation I had to do something as childish as a pinky promise was blown away by Allison's puppy dog eyes.
After we both swore to her, she was all smiles and sparkles. She even re-challenged us at Mario Party 64, bragging that now she'll play seriously... she lost all the games.
Before she left, Allison made us lock our little fingers again to make sure we remember our promise in the future.
-----
It's been a little more than six years since that moment, and as we promised, we saw Allison a couple of times on certain holidays. We once went to see her for her birthday. I've never seen her that happy. It pained me a little cause there was no one except us. I stopped counting the number of times she had to move due to her father's work, leaving her with no friends, always the new girl.
Without exception, each time we saw each other off, she would lock her little finger with ours, reminding us of our oath.
In those six years, a lot happened. First, elementary school was long and boring. I didn't make a lot of friends compared to my social brother. He was the most popular kid at school. Outgoing, funny, and intelligent for his age, everyone liked him. At least the teacher liked me more because I was more mature and less of a troublemaker than the other kids, including Raph.
During this period, the only thing that made me think that I wasn't losing my time was the practice of my powers and our new hobbies. Raph and I started learning martial arts and weapons wielding with our dad. He just heard us talk about learning how to fight, and he proposed to teach us.
I can now put my hands and forearm in the pool of shadow. It came with the ability to emit my power from my entire body instead of just my hands like the first time I tried it. And like the first time, I still can't manipulate natural shadow. Hopefully, one day I'll be able to.
Some years ago, knowing that something wasn't right in this world and that the old fart would definitely do some tricks not to let us live a peaceful life, we spied on a conversation between our dad and Chris.
They are not subtle when they think they are alone. We only told them we would play outside and then come back without making a sound.
What we heard didn't surprise us. We already knew that our father liked to hunt. We just didn't expect that our father and Allison's family would be hunting FUCKING SUPERNATURAL CREATURE!!!
We didn't expect it, but we believed it rather quickly. I mean, it's still better than an apocalypse world or being surrounded by powerful entities that can destroy planets and even the whole universe.
For now, we decided not to tell our dad that we knew about the supernatural world. We thought that getting stronger first was a good idea.
Now that my life in elementary school was done, I just hoped that junior high school would be better. I died at 16 years old, so I never lived past senior high school. What I recollect of it isn't that bad. Maybe It won't be as dull as elementary school, and I'll have fun.
God, was I wrong.

Author note : it took me a while, sorry! I was busy, and I just have a high level of procrastination. In this chapter, I talk a lot about what happens in the time skip of 6 years, and I don't know if it would be better to talk more about it or not. The next chapter will be another time skip of 4 years. Now Alexander is 11 years old, and at the end of the next chapter, he will be 15, and it will be the start of the canon. I don't want to take too much time before starting the Canon, and during the story, what happened during the time skip will sometimes be talked about or a little flashback. Please tell me what you think would be better. Thanks for reading this story!
