Bab 15: Chapter 15: More Conflict

“Whatever,” she said, her eyes flashing with annoyance as she resumed walking at a brisker pace.

Once we reached the workhouse, we walked in. I noticed a girl taking on my job, speedily sweeping away at the debris falling to the ground as people worked. I turned to Ruby to ask what I should do but she walked off and started to talk to some of the werewolves.

I looked around, my eyes landing on a face I didn’t expect. I began to walk over to her, her eyes lighting up as she saw me approach.

“Hey, you’re still here!” Dana said, with a cautious smile.

“Sadly,” I said, sliding into the table she was sitting at. She was carefully folding a mountain of clothes that was left on the table, organizing them by color.

“I never got your name.”

“Wuro. I thought you were a nurse. What are you doing here?”

“I help out here whenever there’s no one at the hospital. Wolves heal pretty quickly so I’m usually only there if someone gets really hurt.”
