Bab 1: New life as a sword

It is a dark and dusty room filled with weapons and armor like swords, sabers, spears, shields, etc. Most of them look worn out with scratch marks and such as if they have been put into use for many years. Some of them have a rusty surface, while some of them have cracks on the surface.

Tang! Tong! Tang!

Splash! Clang! Tong!

The sound of metal hitting metal can be heard in the distance at fixed intervals, sometimes there will be sounds of hot metal being immersed in water.

At this moment, there is a rusted sword with a half-broken hilt quietly hanging on the wall. Due to not being moved for a while, it has even accumulated dust on it. Suddenly some of the dust on it fell off it, as it vibrated.

'Eh! I can't open my eyes, why do I feel like I am stuck somewhere?

Was I kidnapped but I am a poor orphan why would anyone care about me much less kidnap me? Is it a fugitive or a serial killer then? There are a lot of crazy people these days.'

'Damn I can't feel my arms or legs, am I paralyzed'

There was no response from anyone else other than sounds of metal clashing somewhere in the distance, and sometimes some foreign voices speaking in a language he has never even heard of, even though that made Bheem more panicked at the start but seeing there was no other response he gradually calmed down.

Since he can't do anything else he decided to wait and preserve his energy till something happened. Gradually the sounds in the distance stopped and the whole world went quiet. Bheem's nerves stiffened for a while, then he felt nothing has changed other than the eerie silence that was now his companion.

[Ding!]

After what felt like hours there was a different sound that made him tremble. It was at this moment that he heard a cold emotionless sound that seemed to come from the depths of his soul.

"Congratulations on successfully transmigrating and taking over a body, the Life Simulation System will now be installed into the host's soul."

Immediately afterward, a series of information burst into Bheem's mind familiarizing him with his new life and also the system.

This was not the earth, but a magical world only found in fantasies back on earth. Similar to those MCs he had read about in novels he has transmigrated and was also given a golden tool to help him assimilate here.

In this world there is a path to obtain powers like a god and all he can do is be a tool. There were many people here who had powerful abilities that could make Captain America cry for his mom.

The world's hierarchy is dominated by nobles and royals, unlike the ones in earth's history where they only had some courageous ancestors, here you need to become transcendent to obtain titles.

But he was no longer a human being. Instead, he became a low-grade ordinary sword. More accurately he was a sword spirit. At this moment, he was one of the many swords hanging in a warehouse. It was a catastrophe for Bheem as what can a sword do by itself, especially a low-grade one like him?

As for himself, he resided in a smithy in a small town called Pato. Pato was located on the border of the Holy Aslan Empire which was the fief of a Baron.

He had been excavated from ruin by Baron Emil, who had to spend much effort to obtain Bheem as that was an ancient ruin, and many things obtained from there were known to have great value. There was even a fallen legendary sword found in that ruin. Baron Emil felt his lucky stars had bestowed him with a similar sword even though it looked like a worn-out one.

Baron Emil belonged to a noble family called the Grant family. It was said that the Grant family held a very high status not only in the Pato but even in the entire Holy Aslan Empire.

Baron Emil was delighted when he entered the ancient ruin and dug out Bheem. As it would allow him to obtain more resources from his family as he didn't want to be stuck in the deserted border area for the rest of his life.

In the end, after his excitement, he found an appraiser friend to appraise the sword. His dreams came crashing down as the sword was not even a high-grade artifact much less legendary. The sword he had found was only an ordinary weapon, which was barely a low-grade sword when he was forged even though a lot of good materials seemed to have been used to make it.

It had suffered severe damage and along with the passage of time, it had become a rusty old iron sword. That would probably break if used in a fight.

He would have become the butt of jokes if he had presented it to his family and probably hurt his future. So he had thrown the sword into the blacksmith shop under his name. The Blacksmith had hung him on the wall in the warehouse and no one cared about him ever since.

No one wanted to buy a rusted old sword, after all, who would want to spend their money on a useless and ugly weapon? Therefore, the sword had been lying there for more than half a year, this was when Bheem had transmigrated into the sword as a spirit. Usually, sword spirits are born powerful with a child-like intelligence to powerful swords. So it's a surprise that such a low-grade sword could accommodate him.

Clang!

All of a sudden, Bheem heard the sound of a door opening. The door of the blacksmith shop's warehouse, which hadn't been opened for a few months, released a glimmer of light. As it wasn't the main warehouse it rarely got any visitors.

Two people followed the light and walked in. Bheem looked at them curiously.

One of the figures had a long golden beard and a strong body with toned muscles. He was the owner of the smithy and the person who dug out Bheem from the ancient ruin.

Baron Emil was escorting a young noble to visit his smithy among various other places. Even though the young man had yet to pass his noble exam, he was very talented as he had already reached the peak of energy level 1 at the young age of 16. Most people awaken their energy at the age of 15, but the young man had done it at 14 years of age, not to mention he was just a sliver away from being a level 2.

Baron Emil was already 28 years of age and was just in the middle stage of level 2, still, he was the strongest person in Pato. According to the knowledge that Bheem received there was a massive difference between level 1 and level 2.

Level 1 transcendent person is like ordinary people with slightly more power and can use energy. So it is possible for ordinary people to gang up and beat him. But those who reach level 2 would have their strengths rapidly increased and can face off more than 50 ordinary people and not even sweat.

Those at energy level 2 have excellent vision even in dim light and only need three to four hours of rest. The higher the energy you possess, the more your strength, agility, thinking, and spiritual perception would increase. With enough energy in the body, you can even ignore attacks from ordinary weapons.

The young boy was dressed in a black-and-white magic apprentice's uniform. Energy users basically start as knight apprentices and mage apprentices. You can only be considered a knight or a mage after reaching level 4. Even though he was younger and weaker than Baron Emil, he exerted a faint confidence in him that made him seem much superior to the latter.

"Honorable Sir, this is the spare warehouse of the blacksmith shop. We have a lot of things that we have no use for, that are stored in here."

Baron Emil respectfully introduced to the young noble. From this Bheem understood that the young noble probably was backed by a family much stronger than Grants or is an important successor of the Grant family. It was rare for a level 2 user to be so respectful to a level 1 user even if he has reached the peak stage.

Bheem observed the young magic apprentice and found a dark rose symbol on the corner of his clothes, which was different from the stag symbol found on Baron Emil. The young noble made a curt nod and walked into the warehouse and Baron Emil could only helplessly follow.

The Young noble was from the Wyndall family, whose head was a Duke in the Holy Aslan empire. While the head of the Grant family was a mere Count. Within the Empire, this Duke had unimaginable power and influence. The young noble was here to learn some management experience. At the same time, he wanted to satisfy his exuberant curiosity.

The magic apprentice looked around the warehouse as it was a rare sight for him as a person who had only been studying incantations all year round.

Baron Emil followed behind and gave him an introduction to various weapons and armor laying around. Not long after, the magic apprentice noticed Bheem who was hanging on the wall.

He asked in a clear voice, "What's the use of this sword? Why is it hanging here?"

Baron Emil looked at what he was referring to after hearing the apprentice's question. Upon seeing Bheem, he sighed, "This sword doesn't have much use. It's truly a pity."

The young noble got curious hearing that after all he only asked on a whim seeing a normal rusted sword hanging on the wall rather than dumped with the rest of the scrapped weapons.

"Why is it a pity? does it have a great history? it seems to be an old normal sword"

Hearing them talk about himself, Bheem tensed up and listened carefully.

"I took this sword out of an ancient ruin around a year ago. That ancient ruin was magnificent, I thought this sword would also be extraordinary, but I didn't expect it to be a completely useless piece of trash."

"An appraiser's evaluation revealed that the materials used to make it was very precious, due to bad workmanship it resulted in the sword being comparable to a low-grade magic tool. Along with the damage it suffered in the past, and time it has become an ordinary sword with an extremely ugly appearance."

He shook his head in disdain when he mentioned it. Obviously, he disdained the reckless waste of the former blacksmith and seemed to have made a decision as he continued to explain to the young noble.

"If it's forged into other tools, it's likely to become a mid-grade or high-grade magic tool. So I have decided to melt this ugly sword down and reforge it tomorrow. By then I should be able to create a mid-grade weapon at the very least"

Emil felt that once it was a mid-grade tool it would be easy to sell off in the border region as very few weapons of rare class make their appearance in these parts.

The magic apprentice nodded as his interest veered off and turned to look at other tools in the warehouse while Baron Emil continued to talk about the various weapons even though he didn't want to hang around this place much. But it was apparent that the magic apprentice liked these things and it would be good for his future if he could leave a good impression on the young noble.
