Bab 55: Shocked Hong and Lei Shen
Just as Wang Yi was about to have a historic meeting with Hong and Thor, the two most powerful legends on Earth, elsewhere, in City No. 003—a region known as one of the most terrifying in the entire Eurasian area—a different adventure was unfolding.
City No. 003 was infamous for its sprawling architectural complex, one of the most diverse in Asia, which attracted an astonishing number of monsters. Lord-level monsters roamed its streets, and even creatures more powerful than them were entrenched there.
At the same time, Luo Feng, who had earned the title of "Madman" and had risen to the rank of junior general, was exploring this dangerous city with the Fire Hammer Squad, the team he had recently joined. Armed to the teeth, Luo Feng ventured into the heart of this perilous territory.
The Fire Hammer Squad, having just arrived in City No. 003—a notorious deathtrap—was temporarily resting in a room on the 12th floor of a residential building on the outskirts. In the past few days, the team had successfully hunted more than 30 mid- and low-level beast monsters. Luo Feng, who came from humble beginnings, was witnessing for the first time how quickly a person could "make money faster than a money printing machine" through these hunts. Excited and motivated, Luo Feng was igniting the first sparks of his ambition to become a martial artist. Little did he know, his old friend Wang Yi was about to meet the legends standing at the pinnacle of humanity.
As Wang Yi approached the headquarters of the Extreme Martial Arts Hall, both Hong and Thor, who were inside, sensed a powerful presence and turned to face the door simultaneously.
"Hmm?" Thor was the first to react. "Brother Hong, since when has there been a planetary-level powerhouse in your martial arts Club?"
Wang Yi had been too far away initially for Hong and Thor to recognize him, but as he drew closer, their heightened senses picked up on his presence.
Hong, who was equally surprised, responded, "There's never been such a person in my Extreme Martial Arts Club."
"This is your Club, Brother Hong. Are you sure you don't know him?" Thor asked, puzzled. Anyone entering the global headquarters of the Extreme Martial Arts Center would need prior authorization.
"Interesting," Hong mused. While both Hong and Thor were surprised, they remained calm, confident that no one on Earth could surpass their own abilities.
As the doors opened, a black-haired boy stepped inside. The moment the three of them locked eyes, there was a brief flash of astonishment on the faces of Hong and Thor. They hadn't expected the powerful presence they sensed to belong to someone so young.
Wang Yi, however, instantly recognized the two figures before him—Hong and Thor, the strongest men on Earth.
"Are you Wang Yi?" Hong asked, recalling something.
Not long ago, while dealing with the affairs of the Extreme Martial Arts Hall, Hong had received a report about a new prodigy at the elite training camp, a young man who had risen to the top of the Black Dragon rankings in record time. Hong had been intrigued and arranged to meet the young student today.
Now, connecting the dots, he realized that this planetary-level powerhouse was that very same student.
Wang Yi respectfully bowed. "Student Wang Yi from the elite training camp greets Master Hong and Master Thor."
Thor, still shocked, glanced at Hong. "Brother Hong, is this one of your training camp students?"
Thor's eyes were filled with disbelief. When had the Extreme Martial Arts Club begun producing students who were planetary-level warriors?
Hong was equally surprised but maintained his composure. "Wang Yi, have you already broken through to the planetary level?"
"Yes, Master," Wang Yi replied calmly.
Both Hong and Thor exchanged glances, a flicker of astonishment in their eyes.
"At 18 years old, you've already become a planetary-level warrior. You're quite remarkable," Hong said, impressed.
Hong and Thor had both been briefed on Wang Yi's background—an ordinary young man from a base city who had suddenly risen to prominence after joining the elite training camp. In less than six months, he had gone from a nobody to a planetary-level warrior.
"How did you manage to break through to the planetary level?" Thor asked curiously, his usual carefree tone masking his deep interest.
Wang Yi smiled. "I was fortunate enough to acquire a treasure during an adventure on the Australian mainland, which helped me achieve the breakthrough."
Both Hong and Thor's eyes lit up. Could it be the legendary Plant Spirit? Or perhaps some undiscovered ancient relic? They refrained from asking further, understanding that such opportunities were often closely guarded secrets.
"Regardless of how you achieved it, the fact that you've reached the planetary level is a great fortune for humanity," Hong said sincerely.
Though their minds were still racing with curiosity, both Hong and Thor chose not to pry any further into Wang Yi's breakthrough, recognizing the personal nature of such secrets. Instead, they continued their conversation, shifting to other topics.
