Bab 38: Chapter 36 Enemy Attack 3

Deep within the forest, John circled stealthily, searching for any sign of Mike's presence. Failing to catch a glimpse of his adversary, John decided to eliminate all of Mike's lackeys, knowing it would make his mission considerably easier.

With a swift motion, John retrieved his bone knife that is sticking to his short, firmly gripping it in his hands. Positioned atop the towering trees, he resembled a hidden ninja, surveying the scene below.

There, below him, stood a group of five men, diligently guarding the area to prevent any of Rose's residents from escaping.

"Hey, are we just going to wait here?" one of the men inquired, his voice filled with restlessness.

"Yes, that's what they instructed us to do. It's in our best interest to follow their orders if we want to ensure our survival," another man replied, his tone reflecting a cautious obedience.
