Awa tried her hardest not to stress or worry her father because of his injury and current condition. However, the moment Awa chose to leave her village and return quickly secretly, the accident happened. 

Awa made her father far more worried every hour she was missing than she wanted.

"Did the slav... I mean, that human did not try to use you as a living shield? or did he try?" Awa's mother questioned.
