Perseus grabbed the reins and they were off. The horses slowly cantered down the cobblestone road and in the direction of the mansion. Perseus placed the file of papers next to him as he grabbed the reins. Now as the were going on a straight path he could look through them.
He pushed the file open and started to flip through the pages. Most of them were just repeating what the receptionist already told him. But there were further details, such as the types of materials left in the blacksmith, the training weapons and how the training dummies and targets were installed, and how to reuse them. The part that Perseus was looking for information about, the hidden tunnel and cave behind the mansion wasn't to be found, it probably was because it was supposed to be kept a secret.
But as he flipped through almost everything he still couldn't find it. Finally, he reached the last page where the grant was placed. He touched the grant and a sudden notification came up.
[You are now the owner of unnamed mansion!]
[please go to your property to see further details!]
[title acquired, you have gained the title (first landowner)]
[first landowner: your property or territory has a increased productivity of 10%]
[your master has gained the benefits of the title (first landowner) thanks to the subordination system!]
Perseus gazed at the notifications with satisfaction especially the part where his master got the benefits of his title.
Perseus was not passing through the nobles district. Numerous mansions appeared on the left and right of the road. Each and everyone let out the aura of richness and elegance. Guards were patrolling this place constantly, Perseus could count at least 5 patrols passed him after the first 5 minutes he passed into the district. On the sides of the road were walls but because of the hight the wagon gave Perseus, he was able to briefly peer over the walls.
He glimpsed flower gardens of different colors, ponds full of fish with tiny waterfalls feeding into them. Bamboo forests then towered above the walls and into the sky. Sometimes Perseus could see the occasional gathering of noblewomen drinking tea and such. He passed by one such gathering when one of the noblewomen, a red-haired one on the younger side that clearly looked uncomfortable socializing with the group. She happened to turn her head as she faked a laugh and spotted Perseus riding on the wagon. Her eyes widened as she followed the mysterious handsome boy diligently with her eyes.
Perseus noticed her staring at her, but decided to ignore it. It was going to be a pain if he were to get involved with nobles this early with no solid foundation yet.
He urged the horses to move faster, which they did and their canter turned into a fast trot making Perseus and the wagon soon disappear out of sight from the red-haired girl.
The red-haired noblewoman just stared in silence at the part where Perseus had disappeared. She sat in silence for a good few seconds until one of the noblewomen next to her tried to talk to her in a friendly and praising way.
The noblewoman had an annoyed look on her face briefly and turned back to the noblewoman who addressed her with a practiced smile on her face, with no sign of the annoyed expression that was displayed before. The noblewomen continued on their meaningless conversation again while the red-haired woman's eyes seemed to stare into the sky again. Thinking something and not paying attention to the conversation in front of her.
Perseus had almost reached the end of the noble district, the boys in the back had often been peering out constantly curiously of their surroundings, the rich mansions and when they passed by the gates where they could see the luscious surroundings through them were the times where they all ooh and ahh ed as they passed by. After they reached the end of the nobles district though they all huddled back into the wagon taking in their surroundings on the wagon.
Next the passed through the merchants guild and its surroundings, which of course were filled with merchants. There was a lot of traffic here and Perseus was forced to slow down to not crash into the carriage ahead of him. The boy again peered their heads out to look around. It was interesting to see the streets filled with carriages and people of different sorts. From the rich proud people that walked down the roads in expensive clothes along with a few escorts or the poor merchant's carriage that only held a few items of value. Whatever it was it was a sight to see everyone moving along in a bustle never stopping to pay attention to the wagon with almost a dozen boys gazing around curiously.
They passed the merchants guild, a magnificent building 5 stories tall adorned with gold and expensive materials aplenty, its front was made out of marble reminding Perseus of the Parthenon in Jason's old-world except with lots of gold and jewels embedded everywhere.
Persues knew he was going to return to this place soon. He was going to definitely use the negotiation skill he got to the fullest and this was the best place to grind it.
The traffic got faster as they passed the merchants guild and before long they were into the crafting district. Since Perseus had a quest item which sorely needed a skilled blacksmith and he also had a stocked blacksmith in the mansion his head swiveled back and forth asking Boops to analyze everything person he saw. Unfortunately after looking through the entire district the blacksmiths that Boops did find were all associated with either a shop or guild. Which Perseus did not want to poach talent off of yet.
Finally, they reached the slums. The boys cowered some at the familiar sight the place was, others because of the scary looks the people in the slums gave them. Perseus rode on calmly making sure that any person could see the sword and daggers that glistened in the light.
There were almost no carriages or any type of transportation on the broken and dirty roads. And looking at the threatening looked given by its dwellers for a good reason too.
Thankfully nobody attacked him and the wagon. It may have been because of the guild emblem on the wagon. That made the potential robbers warry, but they all made it out safely.
Finally, they reached the exit and left the city. They went down the main path for a bit, but then under Boops's instruction, they turned at a sudden joint and started to go onto an unknown path into the countryside. The farther they went the harder it was to see the path along with the vegetation getting denser and denser. Thankfully it was only grass and weeks so the wagon easily went through it all.
The path to the mansion winded around in many twists and turns. Until finally emerging out of a little group of trees the reached it. Everyone in the wagon including Boops took a deep breath at the sight of the mansion.
It was definitely a mansion with its large house structure in a rectangle and some elegant carvings out the mouth of it, but at the same time it gave off a military vibe with its dull grey paint and few structures on the left that looked like barracks.
It was much larger then Perseus had expected. Much bigger, it could easily fit 200 people in the mansion alone. Let alone, the other buildings on the side that Perseus hadn't even explored yet. Perseus drove the wagon up to the entrance of the mansion. which consisted of a path and then the doors.
Perseus turned around to the kids who were all gazing at the mansion with widened eyes.
They weren't saying anything but Boops asked Jason to let him show the points he was getting, which Jason of course allowed

Perseus gave off a rare laugh and turned to them.
"what you doing? go find your rooms!"
The entire group of boys all responded instantly through a multitude of smiles
"yes sir!"
Perhaps it was stupid for the kids to be this excited over finding a big mansion that was going to be there home. But to the kids, who had no expectation for their master to be better than their last one. But from that damp and dark environment. To have a home like this, that was enough to bring a smile to there face.
All of the boys jumped down and started to flood through the mansion. Perseus jumped down and followed them. The moment he stepped inside the mansion a notification came up
[you have arrived at the unnamed guild house!]
