"What is it, Jun?" Grandpa Dennis suddenly approached Jun when he saw him in a daze.
"Ah, Grandpa, nothing. I was just thinking that Pokemon battles are an exciting experience," Jun was startled and said suddenly.
"Really? Good, good. If you think so, then it's great," Grandpa Dennis laughed out loud upon hearing Jun's words.
Soon, Mother Vanessa and Aunt Mia slowly emerged from inside the house. Vanessa approached Eevee first, patting it gently before giving it a Moomoo Milk. She checked on Eevee and found that it was only a little tired and had finished with her examination.
Meanwhile, Jun noticed his aunt and grandpa whispering to each other. He wondered what they were discussing.
Not long after, his grandpa called out, "Jun, come here!"
Jun strode towards his grandpa and asked, "What's the matter, Grandpa?"
But his grandpa didn't answer, leaving Jun to wonder what was going on.
"Jun, I know you want to become a Pokemon scholar, but after getting your first Pokemon and winning your first match, are you still keen to be a Pokemon scholar?" Grandpa Dennis asked seriously.
Jun shook his head, "Grandpa, I already decided that I want to be a Pokemon trainer."
His grandpa and his aunt were taken aback. They glanced at each other, both very excited but still composed themselves.
"Jun, are you sure? Have you thought about it thoroughly? Once you've determined your future path, you can't change it carelessly. Both trainer and scholar paths have their own vast and unique challenges," Aunt Mia probably said.
Jun nodded confidently, "Yes, I am sure. I want to explore the world, battle strong trainers, and catch new Pokemon to add to my team. It's what I've already decided."
His aunt smiled, "Well, if that's what you truly desire, then we'll support you all the way."
Grandpa Dennis pats Jun on the back and says, "Alright then, it's settled. Let me give you something as a congratulatory gift for your elementary graduation. Think of it as compensation since grandpa also unable to attend your graduation ceremony."
Soon grandpa Jun took out a LuxuryBall from his pocket and gave it to Jun.
Jun was calm on the outside, but inside he was very excited. finally, Finally his second golden finger is here, his family! given that his family was powerful and rich, he knew that anything they gave him would be very valuable.
"Thank you, Grandpa and Aunt. I will definitely cherish this Pokemon very much," Jun said with gratitude.
His grandpa only smiled at this and only nodded.
"Originally, if you ae still dreamed to become a pokemon scholar, we will gives you a different Pokemon" his aunt suddenly launched a surprise remarks.
"We had prepared a different Pokemon for you in case you had still wished to pursue the path of becoming a Pokemon scholar. Do you wish to take a look at what's inside?" Aunt Mia offered, pulling out a luxury ball.
Jun looked at the luxury ball in his aunt's hand and deep inside his heart screamed, 'Please give it to meeeee!' but outwardly he remained composed. He knew he needed to maintain the persona of the previous bookworm Jun, who was detached from the world of Pokemon. In his mind, only studying mattered.
His aunt promptly released the Pokemon from the luxury ball, and a Bagon emerged in a burst of light. Jun gazed at the Bagon in front of him, taking in every detail.
[Bagon]
[Type: Dragon]
[Gender: Male]
[Species: Rock Head Pokemon]
[Potential: Elite]
[Abilities: Rock Head [Sheer Force]]
[Level: 5 [0/100]] (Rookie)
[Moves: Bite, Defense Curl, Trash, Dragon Rush]
[+ Tap for breed scheme]
"Bagon! Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon!" Jun cried out
The evolution, potential, and strength/qualification of a Pokemon are closely related and correlated. Every time a Pokemon evolves, it has a 90% chance of increasing its potential. As the potential of a Pokemon increases, it becomes easier for the Pokemon to break through its bottlenecks and improve its strength and qualifications.
Take Bagon as an example. Even in its infant/rookie stage, it already has an elite potential. When Bagon evolves into Shelgon, its potential increases to champion level. Finally, when Shelgon evolves into Salamence, its potential reaches Pseudo-Legendary. With its pseudo-legendaryPseudo-Legendary potential, Salamence has a higher chance of breaking through to the Grandmaster rank or even the Pseudo-Legendary rank.
'Damn, that's a nice Bagon,' Jun thought. Thinking that he could fly with Salamence in the future, Jun gulped and slowly chanted in his heart, "Greed is a sin, greed is a sin" repeatedly
His grandpa looked at Jun's composed expression and nodded in approval. He appreciated that Jun was not showing any greed and thought that it was a great quality for a trainer to possess.
"Alright, if everything is done here, then I'll leave first. Remember Jun, whether you want to become a Pokemon scholar or a trainer, you must work hard," Grandpa Dennis said seriously
"I will grandpa," Jun replied confidently.
"En." Grandpa Dennis nodded lightly, turned and left.
Old man, are you leaving already? Wait for me, give me a ride to the gym first," Father Leonard's voice rang inside the house as he hurriedly followed Grandpa Dennis.
After grandpa Dennis and Father Leonard left, Mother Vanessa come to the side of aunt Mia and said, "This chid has changed a lot"
"This is the charm of Pokemon." Aunt Mia laughed
'"Oh, by the way, where's Chris? Why didn't I see him this morning?" Mother Vanessa asked.
"He already left for the Pokémon Alliance to represent the Northern Ranger Union in an early morning meeting," replied Mia
Mother Vanessa was startled and asked, "Is there a new mission from the Alliance?"
