Sun Xun's relieved face greeted her. His once immaculate self now had traces of haggardness.

Weakly, she tried to sit up.

Sun Xun held her shoulders, assisting her. He sat beside her, letting her lean against him for support.

"What happened?" Her voice was raspy.

"I'm sorry. I took too long to figure it out."

"It's alright. Thank you for not giving up.. So, what did you find out?" She patted his trembling hand, squeezing it.

"... I found a manuscript about the Night Desert Palace." His head was lowered, he was contemplating how to tell her.

"Night Desert Palace? The backer of the Chaos gang?"
