Bab 2: Chapter 2- At the dining table
Kruthika keeps herself always busy, no matter what day it is. She's always enthusiastic about her life and belived to convert her time into something productive, like she teaches yoga every evening at park near her home and she's learning how to play violin and she knows singing too. She cooks pretty good, she knows Indian cuisine and a bit of baking.
She shares her house with four other men Anirudh, Sudeep, Hemanth and Sachin. Anirudh was her classmate during first year engineering, he works as an IT employee while Sudeep is his colleague. Hemanth is still doing his PhD while Sachin is interested in photography but for pocket money he does some blog work.
She opened the door with the key and left her shoes at doorstep near the cupboard, went upstairs towards her room. After taking a quick shower she headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast and lunch.
"Good morning!, so how was your sleep?", she asked to Sachin who just woke up, Sachin was thin and tall with brownish black hairs and black eyes, while she was chopping the vegetables for pullav, which is rice and vegetables steamed with some spices.
"It was not bad. I had some nightmares about my future! But apart from that it was fine. How was your work? So how many pilots tried to flirt with you this time?", he asked.
"Well! My work was great as usual. I did not get to talk to many pilots just two or three and none of them flirted"
"Okay then. I'll go and get ready for my another crappie day"
"By the time you are ready, breakfast would be on the dining table. Hey should I prepare some lunch for you or will you have it outside?"
"I'll have it outside", said Sachin and went to his room.
She was busy herself in making breakfast and the guys were busy getting dressed for their day at office, it was daily routine having some chat with her and discussing day's news. It would be around 9 for the guys to head for their jobs. She would remain alone in the home.
When all guys went to the job, Kruthika gets some sleep. She wakes up around 5 in evening. She takes yoga class for few school students in her locality for an hour and a half, learns some music and again returns for her daily chores at home. She cleans the home and prepares dinner by that time Anirudh, Sudeep and Hemanth would be in home.
Hemanth was always in his room and comes out of his room only for filling his bottle and dining, he engaged himself completely in his works of research that he barely had time to talk to anyone. In fact it was rear of him to get in conversation with Kruthika. While Anirudh and Sudeep were best buddies, they both were funny. They always liked to pull the leg of Kruthika. Sachin who was the last one to leave the house and last to return.
That day she requested everyone to wait for Sachin to return since she had to talk to the guys. Once Sachin arrived to house she requested him to sit along with other guys.
"Since everyone's here I want to inform you all that I'm going to India for a week, so you'll have to arrange some alternate for the food during my absence. If you need anything like batter of idli or dosa I can prepare it the day before I leave. So discuss among yourselves about it", said Kruthika.
"So when are leaving from here?", asked Sudeep.
"From 26th of this month I may leave and return around 3rd of May", said Kruthika.
"Okay! But why are you going? Is there any emergency?", asked Sachin
"No! To attend my best friend's wedding", said Kruthika.
"So, did you take permission from your boss?"asked Anirudh.
"Tonight at work I'm going to request him", said Kruthika
"So will he grant you leave for such a long time?", asked Anirudh.
"I don't know! May be he will....since I've not taken any single leave from the day I joined", said Kruthika
"Okay. But don't say you are attending your best friend's wedding, say it's your sister's wedding", said Anirudh.
"But I don't have any sister! I can't make false statements. What if they caught me about my lie?", exclaimed Kruthika.
"Ufff ohh! I'm not asking you to lie consider your best friend as sister at least while requesting to your boss", said Anirudh.
"He's got a point. No one would grant you leave if you say its your best friend's wedding. They'll screw you", said Hemanth.
"Are you guys serious?", asked Kruthika. She looked at their faces they were starring at her.
"Okay! I'll request him as what you said. Now I'm starving let's have dinner", said Kruthika.
"So it's your best friend's marriage right! When's your marriage Kruthika? When will you give us the opportunity to have fun on your wedding?" asked Sudeep who had managed to find a reason to tease her.
"Well! Who said that you'll be invited to my wedding. I'm not gonna invite the person who it's not giving a chance for me to enjoy on his wedding", said Kruthika sarcastically. Everyone at the table laughed at Sudeep. Their laughter filled the home and everyone enjoyed their dinner.
