Bab 153: A Tour Of The Ruined Jedi Temple IV

As I return to the group, I can clearly sense Satele is deeply curious as to what Theron and I spoke about. She's doing the right thing by not asking, but she's doing a poor job of masking her emotions. Even Nella would be able to sense what's going on with her.
Satele folds her arms as she stops talking about the Sith and their connection to The Jedi Temple. She turns on her heels and starts walking toward the massive broken entrance.
We follow behind her, and Nella is walking next to Satele. They've become good friends from what I've sensed so far. That leaves the pretty white and blue Twi'lek next to me. She's making her thoughts and feelings clear about me.
I've been trying to avoid this situation since we started traveling to the Jedi Temple. I can feel there will be a time when Eassa and I are alone on this little tour.
"How come the Sith hate the Jedi so much?"
Nella is asking all types of touch questions for Satele to answer. But that's my Apprentice for you. She's always wanting to learn more about The Force and the history of those that are connected to it. After a few minutes of walking, we're deeper inside, and you can sense The Dark Side.
There are Sith in this place, and they're gaining power from the tragedy that happened here all those years ago. Satele remembers since this was where she learned about The Force and the Jedi. It's also where the Sith Empire made a critical strike against the Republic.
"Nella, I want you to stay close to me."
Satele is able to say it before I can. While I know Nella is gaining power, and doing it fast. She's not ready to take on a Sith Lord, or a Darth. There are a few in the temple, from what I can sense.
"Don't worry. I know when to fight and when to run. Nate made sure that I know my limits, and I know I'm not ready for what's lurking in this place."
My lightsaber flies into my hand as I sense something coming toward us, and everyone else senses it too. All our blades ignite, and we watch the darkness in the distance. This temple was built on top of a Dark Side Force Nexus.
In the future, it's the reason why the Jedi couldn't sense or see Palpatine. Well, one of the reasons. Being a Master of Force Cloak, Palpatine was going to be hard to catch either way. But the Jedi of his time were too exposed to the Dark Side due to this place.
They were blinded to his plan. Again, there were many factors against the Jedi of the Clone wars, but this was one of the big reasons they lost.
All of a sudden, the feeling from up ahead disappears, and I blink. But as I do, the only people that are left are Eassa and me. And the temple is rebuilt, and there is a strange glow. It's like the temple back on Lothal.
I'm looking back through time. But it's different since Eassa is here with me, and she's able to see that I'm here too.
"What's going on?"
This isn't the first time this has happened to me. But it is the first time it's happened to her.
"We're looking through time. This is what the temple looked like back when there were no wars and Sith in the galaxy."
You could say it was a time of peace, but that doesn't happen until after a long time during the age I'm in. The High Republic was the golden years. Centuries of peace. That's generations and more after the time of The Old Republic.
"Why am I seeing this?"
I wouldn't know. While I'm The Force Incarnate, Abeloths words, I don't know what The Force is thinking. Maybe she came along because she shares a connection with me.
"Can they see us?"
She asks another question before I can answer her first. But I suppose this is strange and foreign for her.
"You're seeing this because The Force wants you to. That's the only reason I can think of."
Which is really me, in a strange way. This whole Force thing is confusing.
"As to your second question, no. They can't see us. Feel us. Or know we're here."
At least her. On Lothal, I was affecting the temple even though it was in a different place in time.
