Although those words had left her mouth, there was a small smile playing on Valerie's lips, showing how pleased she felt. As she reached out for another glass of alcohol, her eyes focused on Leslie.

She decided to keep the drinking limited— enough to make her feel loosened but not to get drunk entirely. Once she was intoxicated, she acted very much irresponsibly and unlike herself. 

Although Lucian called her cute on multiple occasions, she found it being purely embarrassing. Moreover, she had to keep an eye on her friends, not finding a club to be a safe place regardless of Leslie being a frequent visitor.

"I will go to dance. You sure you don't want to join? I can teach you, you know," offered Laura.
