Sai asks, glancing at Ilara whom was visibly shaken by the sinister presence of the Eater.

"I can't even bring myself to think about anything at this point. My body is frozen stiff."

Ilara replies as she tightened her palm untangled with Sai's palm.

"I haven't felt this amount of dread before. A cold and heavy feeling that makes you have a taste of what it means to be dead. Why can't I move??.. because I have no reason to fight this monster???...

 I am a guy with no goals and ambitions and with nothing left to look forward to. I would think that I would actually want to die but right now, I honestly just want to run away and preserve my life. Is it cowardice??..
