Bab 158: You’re A Lawyer

The aroma of freshly baked bread, chicken, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, and simmering stew filled the air as Ruby entered the dining room. Her stomach grumbled in protest, reminding her of the emptiness it had endured for days.

As they all sat down, Ruby glanced at her mom, "Can we wait for Steffy? He went to freshen up. He needs to eat too," Ruby said, and her mom looked at her.

"There is enough food to go round. He can join us when he gets back. You should eat…"

"I will eat when he gets here," Ruby insisted, and her mom sighed.

"You're both unreasonably stubborn," she said with a shake of her head as she sat back.

While they waited for Stefan, they all chatted. Ruby asked how far they had gone with the wedding plans, and Melvin and Kimberly filled her in on it.

After about thirty minutes, Mrs Winters sighed, "Stefan is taking forever. At this rate the meal is going to become cold," she said, and Nathan rose.
