94.23% Soul Land: Surviving As A Spirit Beast In Douluo Dalu / Chapter 49: Dragon God's Legacy(1)

Bab 49: Dragon God's Legacy(1)

In the core region of the Great Star Dou Forest, Heavenly Blessed Mountain.

For the past six months, Feng Qian and the others had been living quietly on Heavenly Blessed Mountain after the incident on Sea God Island which cost them the life of their Master, the Golden Tortoise Emperor.

Thankfully, with Di Tian's 'help', they didn't have to worry about the dangers outside the mountain since the mountain was no longer guarded by their master and they could just live peacefully without fear of being attacked by other powerful beings.

So, during this six-month period, Feng Qian had lived in seclusion on the Mountain with his brother and sisters, forgetting everything that happened outside the Heavenly Blessed Mountain, and focusing on their daily life and cultivation.

And the results are great!

Under Feng Qian's guidance, both Feng Linlin and Feng Chenxing, who had been on the verge of breaking through to the Ten-Thousand-Year Spirit Beast realm, had finally begun their advancement.

Feng Jin still remained unconscious, but his condition was steadily improving. Feng Qian could sense his brother's growing strength each day, yet the uncertainty still weighed heavily on him. He often found himself gazing at Feng Jin, hoping for the day his brother would awaken, fully rejuvenated.

According to Di Tian, Feng Jin was still in the stage of assimilating the Soul Core he received, and the reason why Feng Jin couldn't get his consciousness back was because of the Bloodline within the Soul Core was incompatible with Feng Jin's Bloodline.

In Di Tian's explanation, Spirit Beasts, would usually condense their own Bloodline Essence into a Soul Core after they reached the One-Hundred-Thousand-Year Spirit Beast realm. This Soul Core would play a huge role for the evolution of their Bloodline to a higher stage of life as well as the foundation of their cultivation.

However, if there was someone who wanted to assimilate a Soul Core that incompatible with his/her bloodline or comprehension affinity, it could cause severe effects that could even lead to death. Under normal circumstances, Spirit Beast could only assimilate Soul Core of the same species because it would have Bloodline that were compatible with each other.

And according to Di Tian in Feng Jin's case, he would most likely regain his consciousness back after completely assimilating the Golden Tortoise Emperor Soul Core within his body which would at least take five to six years.

As Feng Qian heard the Di Tian's explanation, he became more relieved. Although for humans that was quite a long time, now as a Spirit Beast five to six years didn't seem too long at all to Feng Qian.

However, Feng Qian also realized that something was strange about Di Tian's action.

Why didn't Di Tian ask about how Feng Qian was able to absorb the Soul Cores of Dragon kin?

Feng Qian believed that Di Tian must have noticed the anomaly in Feng Qian that contradicted his own words of explanation, however, Di Tian didn't even mention or ask about it that time.

Although Di Tian didn't ask anything, Feng Qian could already guess that Di Tian had most likely suspected his identity and might also have mistaken him for the reincarnation of the Dragon God, just like what happened to Feng Qian when asked by his master.

However, as long as it did not harm Feng Qian and his family, Feng Qian would gladly accept all the help he could get until he had a firm foothold in this forest to protect himself and his family.

Apart from those complicated matters, Feng Qian also took care of Feng Lanruo's growth over the past six months.

Feng Lanruo, the youngest of them, was showing remarkable growth. Now at Hundred-Year Spirit Beast realm, her potential seemed boundless, possibly surpassing even Feng Qian's.

It should be noted that Feng Lanruo only hatched from her egg no more than six months ago. With her potential, Feng Qian was confident that she would quickly catch up to their cultivation within a few years.

Watching her progress somehow made him feel proud and happy. As her elder brother, he was determined to nurture her talent and ensure her safety.

Even though Feng Qian knew Feng Lanruo's true identity, Feng Qian still considered her as his little sister deep within his heart, even if she was the reincarnation of the Dragon God's Wife.

If one day Feng Qian's memory fully awakens, he might be shocked to see how he ended up in such a complex life relationship...

Right now, Feng Qian was in his cave abode on Blessed Heavenly Mountain observing a particular object in front of him. It was none other than his antlers which had just fallen off.

He leaned closer, examining the antlers with keen interest. Despite after it just detached, they still radiated with an incredible amount of spiritual energy. The fire and ice attributes were particularly striking, the elemental energies swirling within the crystal-like structure of the antlers.

Unlike most deer antlers, which were hollow and brittle, Feng Qian's antlers were dense and sturdy, more akin to precious gemstones than bone. Their surface was smooth and polished, reflecting light in a way that made them appear almost otherworldly.

Feng Qian couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the sight. "These could be top-tier materials... perhaps even better than the Immortal Herbs," he mused, running his fingers along the cool, smooth surface. "But what should I do with them?"

His mind raced with possibilities. The spiritual energy contained within the antlers was immense—far greater than any other resource he had encountered in the mountain.

If he consumed them, he was certain it would significantly boost his cultivation, perhaps even propelling him to new heights. "Should I eat it?"

Yet, the thought of consuming such rare and valuable materials felt wasteful. There had to be a better use for them.

While deep in thought, Feng Qian decided to transform into his human form. It was something he had been practicing over the past six months, ever since he was transformed into human form by his master, he still remembered the feeling of the process of transforming into human form.

The transformation was challenging to maintain, but he had grown accustomed to it, and as a Ten-Thousand-Year Spirit Beast, he could manage to hold the form for about one to two hours every day.

As he shifted into his human form, Feng Qian felt a familiar, yet still somewhat awkward, sensation. His limbs elongated, his fur receded, and soon he stood in the cave as a tall, naked human teenager with striking features that mirrored his Qilin form. His hair was a bright, ethereal white, reminiscent of the whiteness of snow in winter, and his eyes glowed with a soft golden light.

Now, in his human form, Feng Qian wore the simple clothes he had made from leaves and examined his antlers once more.

Standing at his full height, he looked down at the fallen antlers, which now appeared even more enormous than before. In this form, the antlers seemed to stretch on for meters, their length measuring around three to four meters each.

The idea of crafting them into something more substantial took root in his mind. "What if... I turned them into a weapon?" he thought aloud, a spark of excitement flickering in his chest. The concept intrigued him.

Feng Qian had some experience with craftsmanship from his previous life. He remembered working as a handyman in various manufacturing factories, where he had picked up basic skills in crafting and repairing some tools. The idea of applying those skills to create a weapon from his own antlers felt like a viable option.

His mind whirred with ides. The antlers were not only rich in spiritual energy but also infused with potent elemental attributes. A weapon forged from them may be able to increase the damage output of the fire and ice elements released.

Feng Qian decided to experiment, He reached out and took a small piece of branch the size of his arm from each antler. Holding the pieces in his hand, he felt the rich elemental energy radiating from them, a potent mix of fire and ice that was barely contained within the tiny fragments.

He focused on one of the pieces with fire attribute, channeling a small amount of his spiritual energy into it to activate his fire-attribute ability.

The moment he activated his fire-attribute ability, he felt a surge of power.

Fwoosh~~

Suddenly, a burst of fire erupted the branch piece, shooting out in a concentrated stream like a flamethrower.

The flames roared to life with an intensity that startled Feng Qian, their heat filling his abode cave as they licked at the stone wall. The fire was fierce, almost wild, and it took Feng Qian a moment to regain control and extinguish the flames.

Breathing heavily, he stared at the branch piece in his hand, astonished by what had just happened. "It actually worked..." he murmured, his mind racing with the implications. "It increases the power output of fire attribute abilities!"

Feng Qian's shock quickly turned to excitement as he realized the potential of what he had just discovered. all he needed to do was shape them into something that could focus and direct that power.

Several days later...

Feng Qian found himself deep in his crafting work, his focus entirely on the task at hand. He was standing in the center of his cave, surrounded by various ores and crystals he had painstakingly collected from the mountain.

The air around him shimmered with heat as he used his fire abilities to melt down the ores, mixing them carefully with the small pieces of his antlers. Sweat trickled down his brow as he maintained the intense heat required for the process.

Just as he was about to pour the molten mixture into a mold, a sudden and powerful outburst of energy shook the entire mountain.

Boom~~

The ground beneath Feng Qian trembled violently, and he nearly lost control of the fire he was manipulating. Startled, he quickly extinguished the flames and turned his attention toward the source of the disturbance.

His heart sank as he realized where the energy was coming from—Feng Chenxin's abode cave. A bad feeling gripped him, and his mind raced with concern. "No, this can't be happening…," Feng Qian muttered under his breath, already moving toward the cave entrance.

Without wasting a moment, Feng Qian dashed out of his cave and transformed back to his Qilin form.

As he approached Feng Chenxin's abode, the energy grew stronger, more chaotic. He could feel it in the air—wild, uncontrollable, and dangerous. It was exactly like the first time he had encountered her in this state.

When Feng Qian finally reached the entrance of Feng Chenxin's cave, his worst fears were confirmed. The inside of the cave was a whirlwind of fire, and in the center of it was Feng Chenxin.

"Oh no, she's in her chaotic phase again…" Feng Qian whispered to himself, his voice filled with a mix of worry and determination.
