Bab 2: The System Is A Bit...

Once more Inanis awoke, but this time things were completely different. Instead of his normal state of being constrained to a humanoid silhouette, Inanis was in the the body of a strange being. From what he could tell, his new body was extremely reminiscent of the half-breeds, the children between angels and demons. Inanis stood at roughly 1.9 meters tall with a well proportioned body, neither to lean nor to bulky. He had pale, nigh on translucent skin, with silver eyes and hair. Inanis was also dressed in a pair of loose fitting trousers and a short sleeved tunic, both of which were also silver in coloration.

As for his surroundings, Inanis was standing atop a small hill, with a village visible in the distance. Vibrant green grass sprouted everywhere and there was a beautiful forest just beyond the village. Remembering the steep mountains and harsh weather of his home Inanis could not help but exclaim.

"Where in Pandemonium am I?"

{Master is in the world of Vecta, your previous realm was completely eradicated by the system's power and thus a new reality had to be formed.}

Inanis raised an eyebrow at the appearance of a voice in his head. But as someone experienced with telepathic communication, it did not bother him too much. What he was worried about was the context.

[So who are you exactly? Why do you call me master and what do you mean a new reality?] he thought.

{I am your final creation before Pandemonium was destroyed, which is why I call you master. As for why this is a new reality, your previous dimension was to weak to contain my power and was thus destroyed upon my activation. Though some of those disbelieving cockroaches needed to be disposed of before I could... Ah, I have strayed from the topic. In essence, a new universe was built around my, the system's, power.}

[I'm not going to pretend to understand any of that apart from the first bit, so mind telling me how I managed to survive and why you would stick around someone so clearly weaker than you?]

At Inanis question, the system fell silent. After an awkward silence, the system suddenly started describing how it was supposed to assist Inanis in controlling the powers of this world, surpassing boundaries that stumped even the system: creating souls.
