Bab 153: Chapter 66: Joint Demon Eradication Mission

Nightfall descends, at the foot of the city wall.

There is no one living in this area, so there is a scarcity of lamplight.

In comparison to the brightly lit streets nearby, this place appears quite dark.

The water of the Ring River flows silently with hidden currents. Beside the river, there is an ancient banyan tree with hanging aerial roots, and a Cool Pavilion erected next to it.

In the pavilion sits an old man dressed in a white robe and a neatly-dressed young lady with two bun braids.

Between the two of them, there is a Go game board.

At this moment, the black and white chess pieces crisscross on the board, making it difficult to distinguish between winners and losers.

"Master, are we waiting for someone?"

The young lady asks, as she places a white chess piece on the board, causing her master to frown.

"This mission is quite unusual. We must cooperate with several other Exorcists to act simultaneously in order to have any confidence."
