"The police officers couldn't get into the bank's main terminal without help, while the South Africans couldn't get access to the bank's systems in the first place. So, the gangster offer the officers the key to the terminal. I'm guessing the key doubles as a backdoor into the GIS's database." Temitope mentioned.

Omar nodded.

"Who approached who first? The officers or the SASS?" Abdul-Lateef asked.

"The obvious answer is the SASS." Temitope answered. "It's easy for them to convince a gangster to approach some disgruntled, and possibly dirty, policemen. Hatch a sophisticated plan for a price. If I were the SASS I wouldn't even reveal the fact about the GIS database. I'd instead ask for a moderate cut of the loot."
