Bab 37: Chapter Thirty-seven

The grand dining hall buzzed with voices and clinking silverware as Ariana sat at the table, surrounded by the pack. Ariana recognized the beta, Luna Scarlet, and a tall, dark-haired man who earlier introduced himself as the alpha's right-hand man, Marcus. The other two were a petite blonde named Sophia and a muscular brunet named Jack.

Scarlet shot a venomous look at Ariana, and Ariana could feel Scarlet's gaze on her, a malicious glint in her eyes. She was the alpha's favorite, and Ariana's presence threatened her position. She couldn't help but wonder why.

She knew that every Luna would fight to keep her position but as a stranger to the pack, she believed there was no way she would ever displace Scarlet. Her insecurities were therefore irrelevant.

Ariana sensed the waves of jealousy and disgust emanating from her. She clenched her fists, determined not to let Scarlet's negativity affect her.
