"Stop and breathe for a bit," I stressed out to Jen, holding onto her shoulder as I stopped her from preparing another batch of rice. "You're fraying."
"What?! We have customers!" the young chef screamed at me, her eyes filled with panic despite her tone. "We can't let them wait too long, or else they'd leave!"
"I know, but look at what you're serving for a good minute," I stressed out, pointing at the line of bowls unevenly filled with rice. "Do you want to serve that?"
Jen visibly looked stunned at her own product, her eyes watering at the sight of her food, "What other choice do I have? I can't stop serving or they'll stop coming."
