Aiden did not know that he had, on the spur of the moment, dropped a time bomb for
the future business community across the world. One day in the future, few people
would know that it was made possible by a high school student. For now, Aiden was
walking alone down East Street.
He walked towards the prosperous end, but the crowds had disappeared. The restaurant
had closed by now. He whistled as he crossed a side street and saw a familiar figure
going down it, but the figure was furtive, looking around as if doing something shady.
Aiden had been about to say hello, but now he frowned, turned down the side street, and
hung back behind the figure. TRACKING OTHERS. TRACKING ABILITY.
PLUS ONE. CURRENT PROGRESS. ONE OUT OF TEN.
CURRENT LEVEL. ENTRY LEVEL. Aiden felt his footsteps grow lighter and held his breath.
The further down the road he went, the fewer people there were around, and the more
deserted it became. Aiden was like a ghost, following the figure in the shadows. After
walking for about five minutes, the figure turned into an alley.
Aiden stopped and listened. Perhaps he was too far away. He could just make out the
words intelligence and trading as the figure talked to someone else.
A few minutes later, a sneaky looking man in a cap came out of the alley. There was no
street lamp and, in the dark, it was hard to see the man's face. The man glanced around,
tightened his cap, and walked off, disappearing into the night.
But Aiden quietly came to the alley entrance, waiting in the shadows. The sound of
footsteps drew closer. Obviously, the figure he had been following all the time was
coming out of the alley.
Three, two, one. Aiden counted silently.
Aiden's punch hit the figure who had just come out of
the alley, and his master level arm and fist strength were released without hesitation. He
wanted to knock this man down.
Any ordinary person encountering Aiden's sudden attack would have been lying on the
ground by now, but his opponent's reaction speed was unexpected. He moved slightly to
one side, avoiding Aiden's fists, and bending his elbow, jabbed it towards Aiden's throat.
He was fierce, fast, and rough, like a military fighter.
At the critical moment, Aiden calmly bent down to avoid this vicious elbow. His reactions
were just as fast as his opponent. Aiden immediately raised his foot to kick the other
man.
A solid blow could win this fight. But his opponent obviously had a lot of fighting
experience, and knew that, although Aiden seemed to have no rules, his body was
extremely flexible, and his moves aggressive. In the dark, he startled Aiden.
Stepping out of a lunge and turning to Aiden's side, his left hand was spread out, and his
right hand was hooked around Aiden's neck. Aiden appeared to be caught. His pupils
shrank, his brain deciphering his opponent's actions.
Learn capture in the army. Capturability, plus one. Current progress, one out of ten.
Current level, entry level. In the blink of an eye, Aiden was learning how to use his body
in the same way. He copied his opponent's capturing action perfectly, and instantly put
his hand to the other man's neck.
Shocked, his assailant hesitated. Thwack! Aiden jammed his elbow to the other man's
neck, and suddenly threw him toward the ground. With a solid crash, the man's head hit
the stone paving.
Aiden took the opportunity to tie his hands behind his back, his whole body directly
pressed on the man's so that he could not move. Before the other knew what was
happening, Aiden picked up his mobile phone and shone a light on his face. He saw a
familiar face in the light.
It's you, Ross! Aiden was cold with anger. He had thought the person's back looked
familiar, but was not sure. Now he saw that the man was Ross, his family's security
guard.
He could not help but feel angry. Listening to the cold voice, Ross suddenly stiffened.
Manager, why are you here? He never thought that the person who had defeated him in
the dark was the pleasant little restaurant manager.
That sharp fighting skill, those quick, accurate, and ruthless moves. If someone told Ross
Doblar that he was facing a special agent, he would have believed it. It seemed that the
restaurant manager had no weaknesses.
My god, the world was moving too fast when a high school student could be so good.
Manager, why did you suddenly attack me? With an icy voice, Aiden sneered. You still
have the nerve to ask? Who was it you were trading with just now? Did you sell him
information about the restaurant?
Selling information? Ross was stunned and then said with a bitter smile. Manager, you've
misunderstood. It's not what you think.
I'm buying, not selling information. Still want to quibble? Aiden's hands forcefully
grasped Ross' arm. Ross only felt a pair of iron arms, experienced in fighting.
A sharp pain stabbed in his heart, and he broke into a cold sweat. What a terrible power
this freak had. If it went on like this, he was afraid his arm would be destroyed.
He said quickly, Manager, what I said is true. If you don't believe it, you can have a look
at the intelligence in my coat pocket. Aiden frowned, freeing a hand to touch Ross' coat
pocket.
He gently took out a piece of yellow paper and read it carefully by the light of his phone.
He could not help but be astonished. Manager, could you let me go? Pleaded Ross, still
on the ground.
Aiden was silent for a moment, but slowly released Ross. Ross finally got up. He shook
his numb arms, one after another, and murmured, Are you a monster in human form?
You almost dislocated my hand! Aiden held out the paper in Ross' hand and said faintly,
Explain.
You can see it all. Ross sounded despondent. That's why you need to explain.
On that paper, it's all about a woman and an organization. The woman's name is Holly,
and the organization is called Black Scorpion. Holly disappeared mysteriously five years
ago, and Black Scorpion had something to do with it.
It is an extremely mysterious overseas Black organization, which keeps popping up in
Chesterton in recent years and has recently been tracked down to Bayside. Ross took a
cigarette out of his pocket and lit it. He leaned against the wall and took a faint puff.
Holly is my wife. I have been looking for her for the past five years. I have been tracking
down Black Scorpion, from Kyoto to the USA to here in Bayside.
East Street is the most crowded place in Bayside, so I found a job here. I plan to support
myself while looking for clues. That man just now was an intelligence dealer.
He was the one who bought the information. Aiden's eyes flashed. He knew in his heart
that all Ross had said was true.
That kind of pain is hard to fake. In the past five years, Ross must have suffered a lot.
With his hands behind his back, he asked Ross quietly, You're not an ordinary veteran,
are you? He didn't believe that Ross Doblar's inhuman reaction ability and fighting style
belonged to an ordinary veteran.
Holly and I used to be in a special team. Ross sighed bleakly. She went missing,
investigating Black Scorpion.
It turns out that Aiden recruited a security guard at random, who turned out to be in the
elite group of the Special Forces. More feared than the Marines, they were known across
the globe. Although they were few in number, every one of them was an all-around killing machine, making countless foreign forces tremble.
They were the Wolf Brigade.
Ross finished his story and
apologized to Aiden. Manager, I'm sorry to have caused trouble.
I'll leave tomorrow. You've really taken care of me while I've been there. To tell you the
truth, you are the one I will miss the most.
Even with such a good business mind, I really admire your fighting ability today. Perhaps
because he knew you was leaving, Ross relaxed and talked to Aiden honestly. Who
asked you to leave? In the dark, Aiden suddenly sounded icy again.
Manager, you... Don't forget you signed a contract with me. You can't leave before it
expires. But aren't you afraid to be implicated in my affairs? As you're a former Special
Forces officer, I imagine you can handle this little matter.
Aiden returned the piece of paper to Ross lightly. Intelligence isn't cheap. I'll give you a
raise, and I'll find a better intelligence channel in the future.
Don't sneak into places like this in the middle of the night. I can't afford to lose you if
you're caught by security guards. Ross thought for a long time.
Then his whole body trembled, his eyes reddened. In the past five years, he'd withdrawn
from the army to search for news of his wife alone. In order to buy information, he had
already spent all his savings.
Otherwise, he would not have taken a security job. Aiden's words touched his heart,
releasing all the grievances, pain, and sorrow that he had buried for years. He felt a
maelstorm of emotion, and his eyes blurred with tears.
Damn, it's windy. Ross rubbed non-existent sand from his eyes to cover his
embarrassment. He had cried in front of a teenager younger than himself.
Ross Doblar was mortified. Aiden smiled and turned around, looking at the quiet road. In
a serious tone, he said, Remember, you're my home security.
You must remember your responsibilities. Ross followed Aiden's lead and solemnly put
his hand on his chest and vowed, Aiden Dale, I will protect you and the restaurant,
always. Take the top fighting master, the top outdoor survival master, the top gun
master, the senior tank player.
Leadership, plus 10. Leadership has been upgraded to master level, and current
progress is 17 out of 100. At this moment, Ross Doblar felt that Aiden was like a
mountain, dignified but unpredictable.
He felt as if he were returning to his old team. He felt equally nervous with that leader.
