Bab 96: A Foolish Slayer Knight

After a few moments of being in a daze, with a pale face and empty expression, the scientist let out a scream, pulling at their hair in despair.

"You... you made me realize how wrong everything was," came a choked sigh from the scientist, their eyes reflecting deep regret. "Oh, no! Why did the upper society send such foolish slayer knights!!! Was Nath and I just a joke!!!" They screamed dramatically, collapsing to a crouch near the black puddle and breaking into tears.

Hobe, dismissed as foolish, could only grimace while Kate, half-conscious, suppressed a laugh.

Granting the scientist a moment, Hobe allowed her to mourn the black puddle that marked the remains of the mutant named Nath.

With half-hearted grins and a shared acknowledgment of the absurdity of the situation, Hobe and Kate observed the scientist's emotional catharsis.
