#Chapter 1
Haley's POV
/"Congratulations!/" I say as I walk up to my oldest sister
Hanna glances away from her wife to look at me.
/"You know that you could have been a bridesmaid, right?/" My sister states
I roll my eyes at her.
She seriously will not let this go.
When Hanna was planning her bridal shower she approached me and asked if I wanted to be a bridesmaid.
At that point she had already chose Isabella to be her maid of honor as well as Bailey and Faith to be her other two bridesmaids.
I declined her offer, mainly because I did not feel like standing upright in heels for over an hour.
/"Hanna, I love you, but I love being comfortable way more,/" I shrug, taking a sip of my champagne
/"Plus it's not like I could have enjoyed any of the bachelorette party games anyway,/" I continue on
My sister raises a challenging eyebrow at me.
/"You're twenty six, your friends are twenty seven and Isabella is twenty one, meanwhile I'm only eighteen/" I finish
The blonde haired girl gives me a deadpan facial expression, not buying my excuse for a second.
I try my best not to smirk at this.
/"Haley, you've been drinking since you were fifteen/" she deadpans
/"Champagne and vodka are two completely different things!/" I quietly exclaim
My sister rolls her eyes and glances behind me, instantly becoming annoyed.
I furrow my eyebrows at this.
I wonder who she is looking at?
/"Hey, baby/" I hear someone purr behind me
I am practically forced to turn around when I feel them wrap their arms around my shoulders.
I smile when the smell of designer perfume hits my nose.
Alexis Narcovia.
My wonderfully amazing and beautiful girlfriend.
/"Hello there, beautiful/" I flirt as I turn around to wrap my arms around her slender waist
Alexis is a model and her mother was once a Miss America contestant and winner.
She and I met at a charity event for helping kids with cancer pay for their treatments.
/"Ugh, I think I'm going to be sick/" Hanna groans from behind me
Before I have the chance to question her Hanna walks away from us and into the house.
/"Bitch/" Alexis whispers under her breath but I catch it
/"Hey! That's my sister./" I warn her
She should not be going around calling people bitches.
Not only is it disrespectful it is unnecessary.
She lightly laughs off my statement, wrapping her arms tighter around my neck.
I try my best not to freak out at how close our faces are.
She is my weakness and she knows this.
/"Whatever,/" she whispers
My heart begins to speed up when her gorgeous blue eyes flicker down to look at my lips.
/"Kiss me/" she practically challenges
Hmm.
Don't mind if I do.
I waste no time as I tilt my head and begin to lean in.
Just as our lips are about to touch we jump away from each other due to the sound of a loud blow horn.
I glance in the direction that the sound came from only for my eyes to land on my mother and Hanna who are both giving me looks of disapproval.
Well, my mother is giving me a look of disapproval.
Hanna is just giving me a nasty glare.
/"If you would all look under your seats,/" my sister says, putting emphasis on the word 'all'
Wow.
She seriously could not make that statement anymore obvious.
/"You will find gift bags, each one variating with its contents/" my mother finishes as Hanna continues to glare at me
I shift uncomfortably in my spot as my girlfriend sighs beside me.
/"My mom texted me, I have to go home/" she briefly glances at her cellphone before walking away from me
What?
One second we were about to kiss and the next she is in a rush to get home.
That makes no sense!
She told her mom that she was going to stay at my house tonight.
Ugh.
I'll talk to her about it tomorrow.
-
The last of the guests exit through Hanna's front door which now leaves only the married couple, our parents, Isabella and I on the property.
/"That wasn't cool what you did earlier/" I tell my sister as I hand her a stack of dirty glass plates
The blonde furrows her eyebrows at me as she accepts the stack of plates.
/"What are you talking about?/" She asks, genuinely confused
I roll my eyes at her horrible memory.
/"When you practically stared my girlfriend and I down just because we were about to kiss/" I inform her as I make my way around the tables and collect the silverware
A look of realization instantly dawns on her face.
/"Oh that,/" she says
/"I was doing you a favor/" she shrugs
I pick up my final fork before swiftly turning around to face my relaxed sister with an appalled facial expression.
/"What is your problem with my girlfriend?!/" I quietly exclaim
Hanna rolls her eyes at my tone of voice.
/"My problem is that she doesn't have your best interest/" Hanna tells me
I furrow my eyebrows at her and storm past her, making my way towards her kitchen.
How dare she say that about my girlfriend.
One of the kindest, most selfish people ever.
Alexis is all I could ever want in a partner.
She donates to charities.
She spends time with me.
She is drop dead gorgeous.
And she loves me as much as I love her.
I enter the kitchen through the sliding door only to run into my other sister's girlfriend.
/"Hey Lynnex, where's Isabella?/" I ask the blonde haired girl
She looks up from her phone and gives me a bright smile.
/"She's talking business with Aurelia,/" she informs me
I nod my head with understanding.
Isabella and Aurelia have gotten close with each other over the last five years, especially since they work together at mother's business.
Lynnex eyes me for a few minutes before commenting.
/"Your hair turned out great/" she compliments me
I furrow my eyebrows at her.
What?
I take my cellphone out of my pocket and click on the camera button.
My heart practically jumps out of my chest when I notice that the underside of my hair is a hot pink color, the rest of my hair being its natural shade of blonde.
What the-
How didn't I notice this?!
/"I didn't dye my hair/" I whisper out, my face paling
My answer causes Lynnex to give me a confused facial expression.
/"Then who did?/" She questions
I groan and rub my temples trying to think of what happened in the last twenty four hours.
Okay.
I drove home from school.
Did my homework.
Answered a call from my girlfriend who eventually invited me over to her house.
I drove over to her house.
She pulled me into her room and we went a few rounds.
She suggested that we drink, which I eventually agreed to when she wouldn't stop begging me.
After that all I remember is waking up naked in her bathtub, taking a quick shower and driving home.
It doesn't add up!
/"I'm assuming that Alexis did it as a joke when we got drunk?/" I assume
That is the only way that this all makes sense.
I sigh and glance at a still confused Lynnex, shoving my cellphone back into my back pocket.
/"Um- Who is Alexis?/" She asks
I give her a shocked facial expression.
/"Alexis Narcovia, my girlfriend/" I state, hoping that it rings some bells
A look of realization dawns on the hidden rainbow haired girl's face.
/"Oh her/" she mutters, briefly pausing in between her words
I furrow my eyebrows at her.
Why does it seem like everyone hates my girlfriend besides me?
/"What does that mean?/" I question her
Isabella's girlfriend thoroughly analyzes my facial expression before sighing.
/"Look, I know that you think that you love her, but she treats you horribly/" Lynnex informs me
I tilt my head to the side.
I trust my girlfriend.
But at the same time Lynnex hasn't given me a reason not to trust her.
I slowly take a deep breath in before exhaling.
/"I trust my girlfriend, she wouldn't purposely do anything to hurt me/" I assure the blonde
The brown eyed girl stares at me for a few seconds only to nod her head, not wanting to argue with me.
/"When you're ready to talk I'm just one call away/" she tells me softly
Okay?
