Conrad kept tossing and tossing on the bed. He turned to the left and his eyes went straight to the clock on the table next to his bed. It was a few minutes till midnight. 

He looked away. It's been two hours since his body hit the bed yet sleep was far away from him and all because of what?! A mere omega with a penchant for trouble and a loud mouth.

Conrad closed his eyes and counted to fifteen before he gave up. He wasn't ten anymore and the trick hadn't worked in a long time. He sat upright on the bed and he hissed again.

Exhaling through his mouth, he rubbed his face like he was taking away invincible cobwebs on it. He switched on the light and he searched for his slippers with his feet. Soon, he was out the door of his bedroom to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. He was halfway there when he heard a noise in the living room and he made a detour.
