Alex's voice made Defiance push herself harder than she has ever done before. She could feel her lungs burn just a little bit more.

A thin layer of sweat covered the nape of her neck yet she was still seeing his back.

If she let him win she would never hear the end of it.

How he managed to convince Connie to run the same path as them was still a secret and whatever happened to poor Mitchell? Defiance would never know..the only thing she knows was that her cousin spoke to him and he disappeared and suddenly Alex was partnered with her and Connie with Jenner. 

And now, everyone including Jeremy and Conrad was ahead of her and it sucked to be a weak omega with tiny legs.
