Slowly, Defiance urged herself to move forward. She had to say something…it was the logical thing to do and it sure beats standing like she saw the ghost of her dead ancestor butt naked and holding a glass of rum.

 Soon, she was standing in front of him and even though she had a thousand and one things to say to him, when she opened her mouth the only thing that came out was a single word.

"Hi" 

Jeremy looked at her without saying anything.

"Jeremy, what are you doing in White oak?" She felt her skin tingle.

She was surprised to see him. She felt betrayed by White oak. Like the pack land should have warned her that someone who left her shattered a few months ago was back, like the moon goddess should have sent her a sign or something.
