Bab 7: Chapter 2: Inheritance and Reunion
Ashborn's spirit: congratulations my child, I am so proud of you finishing this test and finally being worthy of my powers, I hope you are ready to do it now.
Dante: of course, I have waited for this moment for so long, so I can't wait to finally do it.Ashborn's spirit: before we proceed with it I have some things to say to you that you didn't know before. I didn't tell you them because they would bring you even more emotional instability than you had which could affect your training but now you are ready to know them. First of all, the process of inheriting powers is quite painful. You will feel how you will die, how your heart will stop, how your muscles and bones will be reinforced, so be prepared for it. Secondly, you will finally get access to the shadow army which I talked about. Thirdly, you will gain access to all of the existing shadows which will cause you a lot of pain due to information overload. Finally, I think the most positive news for you. I told you that my real soul resides in a special place with your grandmother, father and mother, but what I didn't tell you is that I prepared a graduation gift which I asked for from the fragments of light. The artifact will allow you to have access to that place for 2 hours once a year and you can bring as many people with you as you want.
Dante: shocked 😳... Don't tell me that I will be able to meet and talk with all of you and spend time as a real family.
Ashborn's spirit: yes my child but you will get the gift after you inherit the power.
Dante: let's start then, please!!!
Ashborn's spirit: okay, okay prepare yourself child, and calm down, I know that you are very happy.
Huge amounts of energy started to gather around grandfather's spirit. I hadn't seen any amount of power even close to that level in my life and then it had covered the skies with darkness.
(A/N: anybody in the underworld didn't see or feel anything because Ashborn's spirit camouflaged everything from anybody seeing or feeling it happening)
After that a huge amount of darkness started to head in my way, but I didn't try to run away from it. I knew it was the power I had desired for such a long time and no fear or pain will stop me when I have gone so far.
After the first particles of black and purple energy came in contact with me. I started to feel so much pain. It was as Ashborn described. I could feel how my heart stopped, how all of my body cells started to die and recover again, I could feel my brain frying from information overflow from all of the shadows all over the world, I could feel my body being reinforced by the energy, how I became the shadow and death itself.
This process continued for half an hour. I was surprised that my mind wasn't broken into pieces. I thought that it would never end. However, after all of the power entered my body, all of the pain and inconvenience vanished and I stood up as nothing happened. I felt like nothing happened. I could feel power flowing in body. I could feel how now I could do anything. I finally felt weightless not only on my body but soul as well. I started to cover myself with armour to start tests to fully understand my new powers.
(Time skip: 1 hour)
Anybody would think that I would go to meet my parents place immediately, but no, I wanted to test my powers to at least have some general understanding. It would seem impulsive and childish to just run to your parents. When you have such a power, you have to be responsible.
After spending some time to get used to my new overpowered abilities. I saw that suddenly grandfather's spirit started to have cracks in the armour and turn invisible.
Dante: grandfather what is going on with you?
Ashborn's spirit: don't worry, my job is finished. You have taken my place and now I can rest with our family out there, don't worry here is the ring which will allow to have access to that place.The next second he took a ring with a red symbol on it.
Ashborn's spirit: to use it just put some mana into the ring and it will do everything.
I ran to my grandfather's spirit and hugged him very very tight and started crying.
Dante: sobbing thank you, hic... hic... thank you, thank you very much!
Ashborn's spirit didn't say anything to my emotional outburst. I was sad that he was leaving me because I would be quite alone again. I was thankful for all the help he did for me, and I couldn't know how I could repay him.
Ashborn's spirit: thank you for your company as well, thank you for very good company and the main thank you for inheriting my powers so I can get eternal rest knowing that the powers are in capable hands, you will meet my main soul, so don't worry about me leaving I will just return to my main soul and that's all.
Dante: then see you soon!
Ashborn's spirit: see you soon!
Ashborn's spirit vanished and I was left all alone standing there without anybody with me, so I decided to use the ring to meet with my parents. I was very worried and nervous because what would be their reaction about seeing me right now. Also, I had to control myself, so that I would not cry out for all of the time there, I would only have 2 hours for everything and I couldn't spend it crying.
For five minutes I was standing in one place preparing myself mentally, but it felt nearly impossible to actually achieve, but I can't be weak. Finally, I decided to finish all of my drama and just did it. I put mana in the ring and next second I was enveloped in a black coccon and then appeared in a place which can only be called oasis, paradise or utopia. A huge modern mansion was standing next to a big lake, with a lot of different trees around the area. A lot of animals running around the territory. I was brought back from my thoughts when I felt a pair of arms on my neck which embraced me in a tight hug. I could feel warm, love and care from this hug, but decided to look who was the person who was hugging me and I was surprised to see my mother. No matter how much I wanted to hold back, I just started to cry like a child while tightening the hug. We stayed silently crying in each others arms for several seconds, until we felt one more person to hug us and it was my father and we hugged him back. We stayed in this position for 20 minutes and when everyone calm downed my parents talked.
Magnus: my son, you are all grown up now, how are you doing, how many girlfriends, do you have?! Ouch, Darling what was that for.
Park Kyung-Hye: you don't dare to corrupt my baby. Honey, please do not listen to your father. You can have a harem but do not become a wominizer. You have to take care of your girl/girls and love them, do you understand?
Magnus: hey, I didn't try to teach him to become a wominizer. However, my son your mother is correct.
Dante: don't worry, mother, father, I will always cherish people around me, but can you forget about girls for now and tell me how all of you are doing here?
Magnus: don't worry, we are doing fine. Playing with animals, relaxing, watching films, serials, ect, reading books and listening to music. Basically anything, we want to do, we just do it.
Park Kyung-Hye: in this place we have everything to live. However, the main thing we were use to doing was watching after you.
Dante: what?
Park Kyung-Hye: here we can easily watch how you are doing and it was very destressing to watch you train. You can't imagine how my heart hurt everytime you were training.
Magnus: do not remind me, your mother was so worried about you during the training, not talking about the exam with Igris she wanted to kill your grandfather and Igris, luckily your grandmother saved both of them from her wrath.
Dante: mother, you have to understand that it was needed for everyone, including myself and it was my choice to accept training.
Park Kyung-Hye: I understand child, but motherly feelings can not be stopped. Also, let's go inside the house, your grandparents are inside, I think you want to meet them because we have already wasted 30 minutes here, they should be waiting for us.
Dante: yeah let's go!
We entered the house and I could see an old looking couple sitting on the huge sofa and relaxing while watching Turkish serials.
Ashborn: Ooohhh, hello guys, I see you finished your heartwarming reunion.
Magnus: yeah father, sorry
Ashborn: No, no, no, we understand, it is normal to spend time with your family when you haven't seen each other for years. Compared to all of you, I was training him for all of those years even though partially, so I don't have the same feelings.
???: Okay let me finally meet my grandson.
Dante: I suppose, you are my grandmother
???: Yes child, my name is Lisa.
Dante: hello, grandmother, I hope you are doing fine.
Lisa: of course my child. Okay let's stop this pointless chit chat and doing something as a whole family now, we don't have much time before our child has to leave for one more year.
Dante/Ashborn/Magnus/Park Kyung-Hye: yeeaaahhhhh!!
(Time skip: 1 hour 30 minutes)
I had so much fun with my family. They walked me around their place, I played with different animals, my mother and grandmother were asking me to give them some grandchildren the next time we would meet, which made me blush and I said that I was only 14 and it was too early, they just laughed at me and said it was a joke and they understood, it was just their lifetime wish to tease their children that way, and after such a good opportunity occured, they just couldn't afford waste it. My father and grandfather were talking about the Shadow army and how to flirt with girls, but then they were reprimanded for corrupting me by mother and grandmother.
Overall, I was very happy. However, after exactly 2 hours my body couldn't move and a black coccon started to slowly grow around me.
Dante: it seems that my time has finished.
Ashborn: we will meet again next year so don't worry.
Dante: okay, thank you for everything.
Lisa: haha... You are welcome, good bye
Park Kyung-Hye: Sobbing 😭... Good bye, my son, please eat healthy food, be careful and find yourself some friends!
Magnus: come on love we will meet again, so stop crying.
Park Kyung-Hye: it is impossible!!!
Dante: okay mom, I will do as you asked so please stop crying we will meet again next year, good bye everyone!
Ashborn/Lisa/Magnus/Park Kyung-Hye: 👋!
The next moment the same black coccon grew to close my whole body and took me to Earth and now that I was here I questioned myself. What I was even supposed to do. I am in the middle of nowhere with no connections to the outside world, I should have asked my grandfather or father. I sighed.I decided to meet with my new shadow army.
Dante: Arise
After my words shadows covered the whole area and from those shadows, strange shadow silhouettes started to rise. After a second the whole area was covered by the shadow army and in front of me three beings stood on one knee and greeted
Bellion: We, shadow army, greet our new master and will do anything you order.
After that I spent several hours talking with the elite members of my army to better know them and when I finished, it was already early in the morning, around 8 am, so I decided to go to do breakfast and find something to do for myself.
